Item Didaktické pomôcky veterného tunela(University of Žilina, 2024) Hronská, Marta; Pecho, PavolThe aim of the paper is to approach the issue of the flowing around didactic tools in the wind tunnel. Didactic tools are used for education and help in understanding the issue of aerodynamics. In the first part, the paper deals with theoretical knowledge about the wind tunnel and then describes the theory and laws of aerodynamics. The core of this work is the analysis of the given objects realized through numerical and experimental methods. By using CFD simulation of didactic tools, it was possible to obtain aerodynamic drag values, from which the values for the drag coefficient were calculated and then compared with tabular values from theory. Experimental verification of individual objects was carried out in a wind tunnel located at the Department of Air Transport in Dolný Hričov. The result of tests in the wind tunnel was the visualization of the air flow around the didactic aids. At the end of the work, both methods were compared and the reasons for deviations and inconsistencies were described.Item Design procedure and honeycomb screen implementation to the air transtport department’s subsonic wind tunnel(University of Zilina, 2020) Hrúz, Michal; Pecho, Pavol; Bugaj, MartinWind tunnels are the most widely used tools when comes to validation of Reynold number. Most of wind tunnels use various air straighteners or flow conditioners to achieve as most unified air flow as it’s possible. This article deals with design and creation procedure of air flow straightener – honeycomb screen. Based on mathematical relations and empirical experience defines dimensions and characteristics for subsonic wind tunnel of the Air Transport Department of University of Žilina. Wind tunnel equipped with a suitable screen provides more relevant and accurate data, which are crucial for final validation of results of test objects.Item SYSTÉM MERANIA AERODYNAMICKÝCH SÍL V DEMONŠTRAČNOM VETERNOM TUNELI(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Veľký, Patrik; Pecho, PavolThe purpose of the article was to solve a part of the wind tunnel, specifically part of the measurement of wind forces. The work deals with the mechanism by which it is possible to determinate the values of bouyancy, downforce and drag of the object, which is attached to the system. The work takes into account the conditions under which the mechanism had to be constructed. Selection of suitable material due to price and quality, dimensional conditions, method of measuremnt system itslef and output from the mechanism. In addition to the design itself, the scope of work also included a summary of the current state in the field of aerodynamics and wind tunnels, an analysis of current requirements for the operation of wind tunnels and a final summary from a technical and economic point of view. At the beginning of the work are summarized the basics of general aviation and the importance of aerodynamics associated with it. The second part of the work is a wind tunnel, its importance for aviation and then its design and construction of a functional mechanism for measuring the required parameters. Due to the fact that the wind tunnel was built by students and employees of the University, the work includes its own practical experience.Item NÁVRH A KONŠTRUKCIA MODELU DEMONŠTRAČNÉHO AERODYNAMICKÉHO TUNELA(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Hrúz, Michal; Pecho, PavolThe paper is focused on the creation of a fully functional demonstrational model of a subsonic wind tunnel with integrated accessories, using low air velocities to perform test analyses. The analyses take place in the form of visual demonstrations of the air flow behavior around various solids and also in the form of computational tasks. The paper describes the use of theoretical knowledge and laws in the field of aerodynamics and their subsequent connection to the design and construction of the model, while its dimensions must meet the strict requirements for subsequent placement. The demonstrational model provides the necessary equipment for research in the aerospace and, in part, automotive industries. It provides conditions for student research and fully covers the teaching processes of Air Transport Department.
