Air transport is the most dynamic and fastest growing transport sector. However, along with the increase in frequency, the demand for safety is also rising. The development of air transport has brought a number of automated systems that make work easier for pilots. Over time, however, in addition to the positives, negative signs of progress began to show. The bachelor thesis deals with the study of the influence of automation on the flight skills of a pilot. The author explains the basic concepts of the human factor and automation, while also dealing with the history of the development of automation and a comparison of the philosophy of the two largest aircraft manufacturers in the world. It also analyzes the contribution of human causes to air accidents. It examines the current state of the impact of automation and compares various studies with the views of pilots.en_US
