Uplatnenie pilotov v praxi medzi rokmi 2019-2022
(University of Žilina, 2023) Švancár, Denis; Chodelka, Frederik
The article about application of pilots in practice between years 2019 – 2022 deals with issue of the employment of pilots in these years. It examines the beginning of the problems with employment of pilots, which started with the Boeing 737 MAX crisis and the subsequently crisis of Covid-19 pandemic. The article is further supported by research on the application of the participating respondents in the field during crises and their application after the lifting of security measures and resumption of air transport. Finally, the article is aimed at visions of employment opportunities of students/pilots in 2023.

Detekcia rušenia signálu GNSS na letiskách
(University of Žilina, 2023) Velčický, Ján; Novák, Andrej
Although the Global Navigation Satellite System provides an increased precision in instrument approaches, it is vulnerable to various signal interferences causing either decreased position accuracy or a complete loss of GNSS signal reception. One of the major threats to a GNSS receiver is the intentional interference known as jamming. Incoming airplanes can be seriously endangered by such signal loss. This bachelor’s thesis addresses the detection and classification of possible unintentional and intentional interference and spoofing attacks on airplanes in proximity to the airdrome Žilina. Besides that, other systems which show sufficient reliability are compared. Additionally, critical parts of RNP approach chart map are evaluated. Finally, a device called HackRF ONE is selected to be put in aerodrome proximity for detection of possible GNSS interference. Using this software defined radio as unmanned aerial vehicle alarm and protection system is another suggested possibility.

Vplyv pandémie na kvalitu služieb poskytovaných na letisku
(University of Žilina, 2023) Kováčiková, Kristína; Baláž, Martin; Kováčiková, Martina; Vaculík, Juraj
To keep pace with the rapid evolution of airports, it is essential to integrate multiple systems and smart solutions within the airport. However, the integration of such technology requires significant time, patience, and financial investment. The focus of this paper is on the quality of airport services in the aftermath of the pandemic. The pandemic has provided an opportunity for many airports to adopt smart technologies and solutions, which promote safety and provide passengers with a seamless, contactless experience. The objective of this study is to evaluate the current state of airport services following the pandemic by conducting primary research among airport passengers.

Identifikácia možností využívania alternatívnych palív v letectve
(University of Žilina, 2023) Lehocká, Paulína; Rostáš, Ján
The article focuses on the possibilities of using alternative fuels in the field of air transport with the aim to show the process of production and use of various alternative fuels from both economic and ecological point of view. One of the main themes of my work is the comparison of different types of alternative fuels according to different criteria. In the technical paper, I have also discussed the projects already existing or planned in the future by leading aircraft manufacturers, which aim to implement alternative fuels in the aviation sector. The aim of the paper is to analyze and evaluate the prospect of the full use of these concepts and the fuels used by them in the future in terms of economic use of resources, sustainability, but also efficiency, and their subsequent comparison and inclusion in practice.
