Item Modelovanie vzdušných priestorov v prostredí Escape Light simulátora ATC pre potreby výučby na katedre leteckej dopravy(University of Žilina, 2025) Virga, Maximilián; Badánik, BenediktThis article addresses the issue of airspace modeling in the Escape Light air traffic control simulator with the aim of supporting educational activities at the Department of Air Transport of the University of Žilina. The objective is to analyze the methods of creating airspace models on ATC simulators both in Slovakia and abroad, and subsequently to develop and optimize a model of the Žilina Airport airspace based on defined requirements for the model itself and for training purposes. The thesis examines current practices used at domestic and international institutions and defines the criteria that the created model must meet for simulated air traffic control operations. It also presents the process of optimizing the model for the Escape Light environment and its adaptation for practical application in training. The conclusion evaluates the achieved results, identifies limitations, and proposes recommendations for further improvements to the developed model.Item Návrh na zlepšení plánu strategického rozvoje Letiště Ostrava(University of Žilina, 2025) Kapitanov, Alexandr; Badánik, BenediktAirports are not only essential transport hubs, but also dynamic centres of economic growth, technological progress and global connectivity. While major international airports dominate global air transport, regional airports play an increasingly important role in the development of individual regions, connecting local economies with foreign markets and contributing to the diversification of air transport. This diploma thesis focuses on the strategic development of the regional Leoš Janáček Ostrava Airport. The main objective is to evaluate its current status in the aviation industry, explore its potential and propose an improved strategic development plan. This should lead to increased capacity, improved airport performance and its long-term sustainability and competitiveness. The theoretical part of the thesis discusses aspects of strategic airport management, including economic, infrastructural and technological factors that influence the operation and development of the airport. The first part of the thesis focuses on a detailed analysis of the position of Leoš Janáček Ostrava Airport within the Czech and Central European aviation market. Using methods such as benchmarking and different types of analysis, the current performance of the airport is evaluated and opportunities for its further development are identified. Based on these findings, strategic development goals are proposed, the aim of which is to achieve maximum use of the airport's potential. The results of this work can serve not only as a strategic plan for Ostrava Airport, but also as a reference model for other regional airports in the Czech Republic, which strive to strengthen their market position and long-term growth in the dynamically changing aviation industry.Item Vytváranie cvičení v prostredí Escape Light simulátora ATC(University of Žilina, 2025) Štulrajter, Adam; Badánik, BenediktThis bachelor thesis will deal with a simple exercise for the needs of air traffic controller training in the environment of the Escape Light simulator. The aim of the thesis is to create an exercise for the needs of the Department of Air Transport, which aims to familiarize air traffic controllers in training with the theoretical and practical skills of air traffic control in the airspace of the Žilina Airport, and students of the Department of Air Transport to support their practical skills. The thesis also describes the current state of creating of exercises and training of air traffic controllers in Slovakia. The practical part of the thesis includes the creation of an exercise, which includes both standard and emergency situations. The exercise is designed with regard to the local specifics and airspace procedures so that the candidate in training becomes perfectly familiar with the airspace and procedures. This exercise will contribute to improving the quality of air traffic controller training for Žilina Airport.
