    The COVID-19 pandemic brought rapid and unexpected changes that previous contingency plans and teams were not prepared for. As the pandemic continues to evolve, organizations needed to rethink their business and activities and adapt to the new conditions. Therefore, the aim of the article is to point out the impact of the pandemic in sectors of the national economy and what measures had been taken to maintain employment.

    Machine learning is becoming a key problem-solving in finance, industry or energy sectors. Human resource management is no exception; machine learning in this area allows progress to be made in streamlining functions. The aim of the article is to evaluate the possibilities of using machine learning in human resource management and the impacts of artificial intelligence on the labour market.

    ANALÝZA TRHU PRÁCE SR V KONTEXTE AGE MANAGEMENTU A PREDPOKLADY JEHO ĎALŠIEHO VÝVOJA

    The article deals with the analysis of selected statistical indicators of the labour market, namely the employment rate of the 55+ age group and the number of working-age workers in the Slovak Republic. The aging population and labour shortages in the labour market force employers to address the diversity of the age structure of their current as well as potential employees. A properly designed age management system can give organizations a competitive advantage in times of labour shortage. In addition to reducing the financial cost of absenteeism and employee turnover, it will also contribute to increasing employee motivation and performance and improving the overall functioning of processes within the organization. The paper points to changes related to the demographic development of society and its aim is to predict possible development of selected labour market indicators.

    SUSTAINABLE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT IN THE POSTAL SECTOR – EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

    The postal sector has a leading position and many innovations in global corporate sustainability. Thanks to the success of the Environmental Measurement and Monitoring System (EMMS), the sector is considered a pioneer in carbon management. In order to maintain this position, the program must extend and align its program and goals with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). 19 postal companies, as program stakeholders, launched the next phase of the program - The Sustainability Measurement and Management System (SMMS). In response, many postal companies have already set strategies and started working on topics that support sustainable development goals. The paper presents best practices of postal companies in meeting the sustainable development goals.

    ROZDIELY V MOTIVÁCII ZAMESTNANCOV Z HĽADISKA POHLAVIA

    The paper deals with the identification of differences in motivation in terms of their gender in a selected group of employees of self-government in Slovakia, among whom the primary research was conducted by electronic questioning. The data were processed using a factor analysis. The aim of the paper is to find out what are the differences in motivation of men and women and to describe these differences.
