Item Modernization of company to digital processes by implementing a new data approach for industrial operations(University of Žilina, 2025) Biňasová, Vladimíra; Mičieta, Branislav; Kasajová, Marta; Zuzik, JánThis paper focuses on the critical role of data as a key asset in the modern enterprise. The proposed approach involves the creation of an integrated data architecture that enables the collection, processing, analysis and visualization of real-time data from various industrial sources (e.g. IoT sensors, manufacturing systems, ERP). A key aspect is the application of advanced analytical methods, including machine learning, for predictive maintenance, quality optimization and energy consumption management.Item Využitia umelej inteligencie pre tvorbu analýzy FMEA(University of Žilina, 2025) Bubeník, Peter; Rakyta, Miroslav; Buzalka, Martin; Biňasová, VladimíraThe identification and assessment of risks in manufacturing processes FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) is proving to be an effective maintenance tool. With the advent of artificial intelligence (AI), new possibilities for a more intelligent and predictive approach to maintenance are emerging. This article deals with the principles of FMEA and the use of artificial intelligence.Item Overview of emerging technologies advancing Industry 4.0(University of Žilina, 2025) Biňasová, Vladimíra; Mičieta, Branislav; Gašo, Martin; Furmannová BeátaThis paper summarizes the key technological pillars that define the concept of Industry 4.0 (the fourth industrial revolution) and analyzes their transformative potential for modern manufacturing and industrial operations. Industry 4.0 is characterized by the fusion of digital and physical technologies, leading to the creation of intelligent, fully connected and flexible manufacturing systems.Item Analysis of the effective use of work tools(University of Žilina, 2025) Biňasová, Vladimíra; Mičieta, Branislav; Buzalka, Martin; Kasajová, MartaThis article deals with the analysis of the effective use of work tools in different work environments. The aim of the study is to identify the key factors influencing the use of tools and to propose recommendations for optimizing their use to increase productivity and safety. The analysis is based on worker experiences, observations and quantitative data, which reveal the importance of proper selection, maintenance and training in the use of work tools. The results indicate that the effective use of tools has a significant impact on work performance, reducing risks.Item Progress in advanced industrial engineering(University of Žilina, 2025) Biňasová, Vladimíra; Mičieta, Branislav; Kasajová, Marta; Zuzík, JánIndustrial engineering continuously evolves to meet the demands of modern manufacturing and service systems. With the integration of new technologies and innovative methodologies, advanced industrial engineering plays a crucial role in optimizing processes, increasing efficiency, and reducing costs. This article explores recent developments, key trends, and future prospects within this dynamic field.Item Method Yamazumi and its application(University of Žilina, 2025) Biňasová, Vladimíra; Mičieta, Branislav; Buzalka, Martin; Kasajová, MartaThe main objective of the contribution is to improve the selected production process in an electrical engineering company. In order to achieve the main objective, it was necessary to gradually develop the specified partial objectives. The Yamazumi method, which is subsequently used to balance the V03 line or explain the bottleneck in the production process, which in the case of the analysed line is a hydraulic tester. After balancing the line and distributing the workstations among the workers, it was possible to plan and carry out a test of adding a worker to the line.Item Analysis of the use of agile project methodology(University of Žilina, 2025) Biňasová, Vladimíra; Bubeník, Peter; Buzalka, Martin; Kasajová, MartinaFrom the perspective of the main goal, the real use of agile project methodology was analyzed, and then the levels of knowledge and use of the mentioned methodology were evaluated. Areas for potential improvement were identified and proposals for measures were created to increase the efficiency of future project implementation. Most companies today focus on delivering quality and gaining customer satisfaction and in order to accomplish this, the challenge lies in choosing between traditional development methodologies and agile development methodologies. However, both these approaches have positives and negatives, making the right choice plays a crucial role while starting a new project.Item Improving the image of the company(University of Žilina, 2024) Furmannová, Beáta; Biňasová, Vladimíra; Zuzik, JánThe image of the company is a very important tool in the company for proper functioning and representation even outside its gates. Nowadays, it is an indispensable factor. Businesses are "competing" with each other, and customers are not only looking at how the company produces, but also how it presents itself, how it looks and advertises. The article describes proposals for improving the image of the company developed on the basis of the analysis of the current situation and the evaluation of a questionnaire survey in the company.Item Ergonomics in extended reality: addressing challenges and enhancing user experience(University of Žilina, 2024) Dulina, Ľuboslav; Zuzik, Ján; Biňasová, Vladimíra; Furmannová, Beáta; Matys, MariánExtended Reality (XR) technologies, encompassing Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR), are rapidly transforming various industries, offering innovative solutions for training, design, and collaboration. However, the integration of XR into work environments introduces new ergonomic challenges that must be addressed to ensure user safety, comfort, and performance. This article explores the role of ergonomics in XR, emphasizing the importance of physical, cognitive, and organizational ergonomics. It highlights the need for well-designed XR devices to minimize physical strain, the optimization of cognitive load to avoid mental fatigue, and the adaptation of organizational workflows to enhance collaboration in virtual spaces. Additionally, the article discusses the emerging issue of simulator sickness and its impact on XR applications. By increasing awareness of these ergonomic considerations, this work aims to contribute to the development of safer and more effective XR environments, ultimately enhancing user experience and productivity.Item Analysis of programs for operational and systems analysis(University of Žilina, 2024) Biňasová, Vladimíra; Mičieta, Branislav; Buzalka, Martin; Kasajová, Marta; Zuzik, JánThis paper deals with the selection and comparison of programs that students could use when preparing semester papers in the subject of Operational and Systems Analysis. The analysis consists of a comparison of work in selected software based on selected criteria, such as the availability of programs for students, the language in which the programs are written, the time spent on preparing individual assignments and the correctness of their results. The final part evaluates the benefits of the paper and the selection of the most suitable programs for individual types of tasks.
