Options for use of unmanned aerial systems in fire and rescue services
(University of Zilina, 2021) Poljak, Matúš; Kandera, Branislav
This paper deals with the issue of the possibility of using unmanned aerial vehicles in fire and rescue services in several common problematic situations in which these rescue units operate. In the introductory chapter, the work defines factual terms and definitions related to the categorization of unmanned aerial vehicles in connection with the active legislation of the Slovak Republic and chronologically describes their historical development. Subsequently, it analyzes the current state of the issue in the Slovak Republic, and then compares it with the state of use of unmanned aerial vehicles in rescue services of the same purpose abroad. The main task of this work is to design and evaluate a possible solution to this issue. Other goals of this work include the creation of a theoretical base, which can be used for the practical application of the proposed solutions for the use of unmanned aerial vehicles of fire and rescue services

Anti-collision systems of unmanned aerial vehicles
(University of Zilina, 2021) Višnai, Kristián; Kandera, Branislav
The main goal of the paper is to summarize the knowledge about anti-collision systems of unmanned aerial vehicles. In the work are also described currenly used anti-collision systems of unmanned aerial vehicles. The work contains practical research in which we tested anti-collision systems of DJI Mavic 2 Pro. The purpose of the research was to find out how this unmanned aerial vehicle can avoid static obstacles. The second part of practical research is the analysis and comparison of systems that provide anti-collision actvity between unmanned aerial vehicle and aircraft in the vicinity. Part of the work is also the evaluation and selection of a cooperative anti-collision system for DJI Inspire 2. The conclusion of the papercontains a summary of the findings that we have obtained based on the analysis of available facts and using operational experience.

    New regulations for UAS flights
(University of Zilina, 2020) Kandera, Branislav; Škultéty, Filip; Badánik, Benedikt
The paper deals with the legislation in the field of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in the Slovak Republic. The main goal of the paper is to analyse the current legislative framework, which sets the basic rules and restrictions. The article’s contribution is a description of the latest Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947. The solution to the issue consists of an analysis of the requirements for changes in current legislation based on people’s experience from practice. The reason for the changes is to facilitate flying with UAS for all user groups, provided that safety is maintained, and risks are minimised. These new regulations are causing the most significant changes, especially for organisations that will perform aerial work with the UAS in the Specific category. These organisations need to transform their operations manuals and extend the aerial work system with a risk analysis.
