Item Analýza systému spoplatnenia leteckých navigačných služieb(University of Žilina, 2025) Granát, Michal; Materna, Matúš; Nichtová, RadoslavaThe goal of this thesis is to analyse the system of air navigation charges of air navigation service providers in Europe. The thesis explains the role of charging system, describes, reasons why it was necessary to implement this system, analyses individual phases of its implementation and examine current charging schemes. The methodology of this thesis uses a synthesis of theoretical knowledge, a comprehensive development of the analysis in charging scheme, an analysis of current charging scheme a comparison of different implementation phases and an evaluation of differences between phases. Thesis analyses methods of route and terminal charges calculations, unit rates and cost effectiveness of air navigation services providers in each phase. The outcome of this thesis is a summary of four development phases analysis, highlighting differences between methods of charges calculations, differences in cost-effectiveness of providers in Europe and differences in regulations.Item Integrácia bezpilotných leteckých systémov(University of Žilina, 2025) Valášek, Denis; Kandera, Branislav; Nichtová, RadoslavaThis article explores the integration of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) into civil airspace, focusing on collision avoidance technologies and remote identification systems. As drone operations expand, ensuring safety and interoperability becomes essential. The study reviews systems such as TCAS, ACAS, ADS-B, and FLARM, and highlights their adaptability for UAS. EU regulations 2019/947 and 2019/945 are addressed with regard to Remote ID requirements. Practical testing of Dronetag Beacon Gen. 2 and Aerobits TR-1F at Žilina Airport demonstrated accurate and stable data transmission, confirming their suitability for UAS integration. The findings underline the need for both technological innovation and regulatory alignment to safely merge manned and unmanned traffic.Item Návrh vernostného programu ako nástroja na zvýšenie zákazníckej lojality v leteckej spoločnosti(University of Žilina, 2025) Baštáková, Zuzana; Kováčiková, Kristína; Nichtová, RadoslavaThis article focuses on airline loyalty programs. The main objective of the article is to design a loyalty program for an airline that will promote customer loyalty. The first chapter presents the theoretical framework, covering key concepts such as customer, customer loyalty, communication tools and customer segmentation in air transport. It also outlines essential insights into the concept and functioning of loyalty programs. The second chapter analyses eight existing airline loyalty programs, each introduced by a brief profile of the respective airline. The effectiveness of each loyalty programs is assessed based on a model that evaluates the system of earning and redeeming points as well as the benefits offered. Subsequently, a comparative analysis of the selected programs is conducted. The third chapter describes the objectives of the thesis and the fourth chapter deals with the methodology of thesis. The methods of literature search, analysis, comparison and questionnaire survey are used in the thesis. The fifth chapter presents the survey results, which serve as the basis for designing the proposed loyalty program. The proposal reflects current customer preferences and has the potential to enhance customer loyalty. The aim of the thesis is fulfilled through a comprehensive analysis, practical research, and the design of an applicable solution that may hold practical significance in the field of airline marketing anagement.Item Combustion engine piston modifications for better performance in UAV aplication(University of Žilina, 2024) Lubják, Peter; Čerňan, Jozef; Nichtová, RadoslavaThe issues described in the article are largely an overview and explanation of the functions of various modern modifications to internal combustion engine pistons, which significantly increase the performance and reliability of current power units with a minimum amount of technical implementation. Especially the modification in the form of gasporting can indicate the direction that will soon be possible to take when modifying engines.Item Fatigue in the air and at sea: comparing impact and regulations in aviation and maritime transport(University of Žilina, 2024) Maternová, Andrea; Materna, Matúš; Nichtová, RadoslavaFatigue poses a significant threat to transportation safety across all modes of transport. This paper examines fatigue, its consequences, and the regulatory frameworks addressing this issue, with a focus on the aviation and maritime industries. A comparative analysis is conducted on differences in legislation governing maximum duty hours, mandatory rest periods, and the risks resulting from non-compliance. By highlighting regulatory differences and their implications, this paper underscores the importance of effective fatigue management to enhance safety in both sectors.
