Item Proaktívna činnosť požiarnej ochrany pre mäkké ciele(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2021) Malatinský, Adam; Lukáš, LuděkThe article deals with proactive ways of fire protection of soft target objects. The first chapter deals with the general characteristics and description of a soft target object. The next chapter focuses on the characteristics and description of a proactive security breach model. The article then characterizes the analysis of fire protection measures. The subsequent chapter deals with proactive methods of fire protection, where the operation of activities in fire protection is divided into several phases. The final chapter focuses on the design and application of specific proactive methods of providing fire protection for a soft target object. Specifically, it is a shopping centre building, where several types of proactive activities are proposed to improve the effectiveness of minimizing the risk of threats in fire protection.Item Vplyv horskej záchrannej služby na bezpečnosť(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2021) Kubás, Jozef; Hollá, Katarína; Polorecká, MáriaThe paper describes the key intervention component included in the integrated rescue system of the Slovak Republic - the Mountain Rescue Service. It represents its inclusion within the integrated rescue system with the definition of the main tasks. Moreover, it specifies in detail the specific activities that this rescue unit performs in the Slovak Republic. In the Conclusions, based on processed statistical data illustrated by graphs, it points out the most frequent interventions of the Mountain Rescue Service and their number. It also highlights the justification for the interventions and their growing number over the years. In the final summary, it points to the fact that within the natural and terrain conditions of the Slovak Republic, the Mountain Rescue Service is an irreplaceable professional rescue componentItem Development of security measures at public international airports in relation to the history of threats against civil aviation(University of Zilina, 2021) Pojedinec, Benjamín; Škvareková, IvetaThe security and safety of civil aviation at airports is important given the level of risks faced by civil aviation. It is a threat of terrorist attacks, smuggling or cyber attacks. We are trying to prevent all these threats and thus protect the health and safety of passengers. The paper deals with the issue of safety in civil aviation. The primary goal of paper is evaluation of the current situation at selected Slovak airports with regard to safety. The paper is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is required to present a theoretical view of basic concepts in aviation history air strikes, present and future conservation and the impact of human factors on the safety of air transport. The essence of the practical part is the evaluation of the current situation in selected Slovak airports and the implementation of a qualitative survey with the help of a questionnaire. Based on the analysis and the results of the questionnaire survey, suggestions are provided to improve safety at selected airports.Item Analysis of implementation instrument approaches for hems heliports(University of Zilina, 2021) Posluch, Samuel; Pecho, PavolIn recent years, the trend of using a helicopters in the operation of the helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) has been increasing. The reason is the wide range of uses of the helicopter, fast and safe transport of wounded people using new copters. Nevertheless, it is not possible to operate flights in poor weather conditions with a sufficient number of interventions. There is a need to develop new procedures for flying even under conditions other than VFR flight rules. The current state of helicopter technology in Slovakia allows it and therefore it is appropriate that new procedures using GNSS be created to establish a safe flight. The aim of the analysis is to evaluate the input factors available to the operator and to create a design approach based on the legislative requirements for the use of GNSS systems on the selected heliport. The resulting approach design can be used as one of the options for creating procedures. Such proposals could also be implemented on other operational bases, for the creation of a network of instrument approach or departure systems, which would create space for increasing the safety of helicopter emergency medical service in Slovakia.Item Toxicity of plastics in a fire and its dangerous properties(University of Zilina, 2020) Hrinko, MartinThe article describes and analyses toxic substances produced during the combustion of plastics which affect human health. Accidents and emergencies resulting from the combustion of plastic materials frequently occur in industrial production and technological processes. The authors illustrate this fact using the most recent example - the fire in the manufacturing and logistics premises in Chropyně, the Czech Republic, with an intervention of professional, as well as volunteer firefighters and specialized fire and rescue units.Item EFEKTIVITA VÝCVIKU PILOTOV NA DIAĽKU(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Kandera, Branislav; Škvareková, Iveta; Ažaltovič, ViliamAlthough the topic of unmanned aerial vehicles is very acutal, in most cases attention is paid to the safe integration of unmanned aerial vehicles in airspace, their uses and their reliability. But the safe operation of drones is based on the correct and effective training of drone pilots. The paper deals with the training of pilots of unmanned aerial vehicles, defining the scope of training and the possibilities of using UAV simulators for training. An important aspect is the complexity of knowledge about unmanned aerial vehicles, as training is not only a question of control skills, but also of theoretical knowledge of the UAV itself with which the flight is performed. Based on the measured data, it is clear that the simulator plays an important role during the training of piloting unmanned aerial vehicles, while providing a valuable basis for the transition to a type of fixed-wing flight configuration.Item FAILURE RATE ANALYSIS IN AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Bugaj, Martin; Pecho, Pavol; Janovec, MichalAn aircraft is a complex object composed of many complicated and interrelated parts, components and systems. Reliability of all parts and systems is very important to aircraft because operation of aircraft can affect flight safe directly. Aircraft failure rate is an important parameter of aircraft operation to maintain the effective level of reliability. The failure rate is the probability of failure at a point in time. When a part, component or system is not functional it can be upgraded through replacement or repair, and the condition of the aircraft is restored to some degree. We can defined several approaches to aircraft maintenance. There are maintenance can be based on condition, which is, items are repaired when they fail. Failure during operation can have serious consequences, so detection of items with a high probability of failure through periodic inspection is a major component of maintenance. This paper analyses how we can define the aircraft failure rate and its impact on operational reliability of aircraft.
