Item Uplatnenie lietadiel rodiny Airbus A320 NEO a Boeing 737 MAX na európskom trhu(University of Žilina, 2024) Helt, Marek; Chodelka, FrederikAn article is devoted to the application of the Airbus A320 NEO and Boeing 737 MAX family aircraft on the European market. It describes the history and origin of individual aircraft families, their technical parameters, the division of generations and a description of models. Consequently, common and different features of both families, their use and equipment are found in this work. The article also includes a section on methodology and methodologies, which describes what research methods were used in the work. The last chapters of the thesis are devoted to the disease Covid-19 and the impact on air transport. These chapters describe two crashes of 737 MAX aircraft and their subsequent return to service after grounding.Item Social media as a tool for airline service quality assessment(University of Žilina, 2023) Buday, Adam; Badánik, BenediktOur study investigates the perception of service quality of 12 airlines by using a mixed-method approach that consists of numerical analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and qualitative examination of Twitter customer service. Our findings reveal that Twitter is the most popular social media platform in the airline industry, with U.S.-based airlines being the most active. The analysis of customer feedback on Twitter showed noticeable differences between full-service and low-cost carriers, with the former receiving more complaints regarding booking and in-flightservice quality, and the latter receiving more complaints regarding delayed or cancelled flights and poor customer service. Overall, our research provides valuable insights into the significance of social media as a tool for promotional activities and customer service, while highlighting common issues in service quality perception by airline customers.Item The COVID-19 crisis and its impact on changes in air transport(University of Zilina, 2022) Zermeghová, Michaela; Novák-Sedláčková, AlenaThe aim of this paper is to identify the effects of the corona crisis on air transport and the changes that this crisis has brought. It deals with the analysis of selected airlines, navigation service providers and airports from the EU (Slovakia, the Czech Republic, France), the United Kingdom, the USA and the United Arab Emirates, whose economic indicators as well as economic and operational results show how the measures in place affect their operation. The aim of this paper is to provide a comprehensive view of how air transport has changed as a result of the pandemc COVID-19, as well as to make proposals for revitalization measures to help the aviation sector.Item International regulation of air freight(University of Zilina, 2021) Sitarčík, Adam; Novák Sedláčková, AlenaThis article is focused on the issue of air freight, its development, importance and current status. The article defines general knowledge in the field of civil cargo air transport as history, current global events, current measures due to the pandemic of the spread of Covid-19 and the division of airlines according to business models. It also includes the periodic development of legislation in the field of air transport freight, global and European legislation, as well as air alliances and organizations in civil aviation. The article deals with contracts in the field of air freight transport such as transport contract and agent contract. Conclusion is focused on the importance of the today's study materials in the field of air freight and also declared that this article and the bachelor thesis could stands out as a supplementary material for the professional public, which will enable them to deepen their knowledge in the field of air freight.Item NOVÉ FORMY HORIZONTÁLNEJ SPOLUPRÁCE LETECKÝCH SPOLOČNOSTÍ(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Turčan, Dávid; Novák Sedláčková, AlenaThe aim of the paper is to introduce the information about forms of horizontal cooperation between companies in the aviation sector. The introduction describes a brief history of the aviation industry, its position in the market and briefly sums up the content of the work. The first part characterizes individual forms of horizontal cooperation. The second part describes new forms of business strategies of airlines and their cooperation in the market. This part also deals with the specific use of various forms of business in practice. In the third part new forms of cooperation between long-haul low-cost carriers are described as well as its connection with the establishment of the first low-cost air alliances and their brief characteristics. The work also describes the development of these alliances and their possible growth in the future. Special emphasis is placed on the analysis of low-cost air carriers in Europe, their possible cooperation and building their own alliances in the future.
