Štúdia spolupráce energetického úložiska z batérií druhej životnosti a fotovoltaickej elektrárne
(University of Žilina, 2023) Liška, Martin; Štrkolec, Juraj; Matušov, Jozef; Havlíček, Tomáš; Louvar, Stanislav
The aim of the simulation is to optimize the parameters of the battery storage system using battery cells from electric cars in cooperation with a photovoltaic power plant at the point of connection with a reserved input power of up to 100 kW. The analysis is performed in the Python programming environment, where all algorithms and calculations are implemented. The source codes of the simulation contain historical data of specific PV power plants.

3D modelovanie pre potreby simulačnej rekonštrukcie pádu ľudského subjektu z výšky
(University of Žilina, 2023) Kolla, Eduard; Adamová, Veronika
The article presents the methodology for 3D modelling for biomechanical evaluation of falls from the height of a human subject. It focuses on 3D modelling as a base for numerical simulation using multibody modules in the PC-Crash simulation software. Basic steps for the creation of a 3D multibody model of the relevant building structure from a 3D point cloud are presented, as well as the procedure for the creation of a biofidelic female human body model. The multibody model of building structure and a multibody model of the human body can be in the following steps used for comprehensive parametric evaluation of possible fall scenarios using the iterative approach for convergence of trace correspondences.

Development of the design of an experimental long-range fixed wing uav
(University of Žilina, 2023) Suk, Michal
The goal of the article is the design and assembly of a flight-capable platform for testing an experimental hybrid drive developed within the grant project. The input for the entire work is designed for the highest take-off weight of 10 Kg and a pair of driving electric motors with a thrust of 5 Kg each (49,05 N). The content of the article includes basic theory, analyses, simple structural calculations and design methods, the design itself, construction methodology and work results. Analyzes in the article include analyzes of currently used types for the design and construction of hybrid unmanned aerial vehicles and analyzes of materials used for UAV structures with a piston propulsion unit, on the basis of which the design and construction of the UAV was proposed. As part of the design, the construction and design are recalculated and simulated both aerodynamically and strength-wise. Several software were used in the design and simulations: AutoCAD Inventor for modeling and strength analyses, Autodesk CFD for airfoil simulations and XFLR5 for the aerodynamics simulation of the UAV design. In the practical part, the production methodology is described in detail and illustrated with original photographs.

Calculation and simulation of the parachutist's movement from the jump from the aircraft to landing on the ground
(University of Zilina, 2021) Beník, Martin; Kováčik, Ľubomír
In this article, we focus on the movement of the parachutist from the jump from the plane to the impact on the ground. By creating a mathematical model based on Newton's second law, we create simulations, based on which we can determine whether the movement of a parachutist after jumping from a plane is a "free fall", or whether the action of forces and his position in the air affects the direction of his flight.

Cost Analysis of Queuing System of Postal Office
(University of Zilina, 2019) Ďutková, Silvia; Hoštáková, Dominika; Turská, Stanislava; Kurotová, Jana; Droźdiel, Paweł
The paper displays cost analysis of queuing system of particular post office. The selected Post Office is Zilina 1 Post Office in Slovakia. Post office Zilina 1 provides service to almost 4 000 companies and 13 559 households. [1] This paper considers two types of costs. There are costs of services which are associated with increasing or decreasing system capacity. Additional costs are the costs of rejected customers which are costs associated with deciding customers to leave the post office. Aim of this article to indicate the methodology of costs allocation of queuing system of post office and display the costs calculation method of rejected customers. Primary research using the questionnaire and the simulation method proved to be an appropriate tool in this analysis. The results of this paper show the need to take into account the substitutability of the individual services provided at the post office and the repeated arrival of the rejected customer. In the case that a rejected customer requests a service provided also by other postal operators, the post office can deal with loss of customer.

Modelling of traffic on a selected roundabout in Žilina
(University of Zilina, 2019) Harantová, Veronika; Kalašová, Alica; Čulík, Kristián; Otahálová, Zuzana
A high-quality network is currently a prerequisite for sustainable transport systems. The sharp increase in automobile traffic has resulted in increased transport problems. The most serious transport problems include traffic infrastructure congestion, increased accident risk and of course environmental impact. Daily mobility and securing the transport of goods is one of the key transport objectives. The most critical point of the road network is the intersection. Therefore, great emphasis is placed on the vehicle to pass smoothly and safely when passing through this place. In this paper an analysis of the current status of the selected roundabout is created. Based on the survey it is proposed three solutions to improve the traffic conditions of the intersection. Aimsun micro-simulation was also used to create solutions.

Ecological Impact of Changes in Transport Organisation in Martin with Using Transport-Planning Software
(University of Zilina, 2018) Palúch, Ján; Čulík, Kristián; Synák, František; Hammer, Juraj; Mikulski, Jerzy
Using motor vehicles, which uses fossil fuels, is connected with emissions. The main goal of cities, towns and also of the state is to keep these emissions as low as possible. Vehicles move on a traffic network where they are forced to accelerate and decelerate due to various impacts. Junctions and traffic jams are examples of these impacts. An important task is to build transport networks and junctions where vehicles can cross the junction as quickly as possible without unnecessary delay and a significant change in speed. This can contribute to lower vehicle fuel consumption and thus lower emissions.

Modelling traffic conditions in the cadaster of Veľká Lomnica
(University of Zilina, 2017) Korfant, Matúš; Palúch, Ján; Gogola, Marián; Jurecki, Rafal
This article is focused on the analysis of the current traffic situation in the cadaster of Veľká Lomnica and suggestions for its improvement. The most important intersection of the road I/67 and II/540 is problematic where is also located the railway crossing with a light signalling device. As a basis for the traffic analysis was performed traffic survey at the four positions in the cadastral territory. Its analysis provides information about the current traffic intensity and is also the basis for the simulation of traffic in traffic - planning software AIMSUN. The article contains an evaluation of various proposed solutions on the basis of the results from AIMSUN software and the selection of the appropriate variant.
