Analysis of selected vital functions of a pilot during flight
(University of Žilina, 2023) Rimarčík, Timotej; Chodelka, Frederik
Pilots work in distinct environment and there are many requirements they must fulfill to ensure the safe operation of an aircraft. However, there are also some psychological elements, that might be difficult to deal with, such as stress and high workload, while performing difficult flight tasks. This article explains what causes stress and high workload, and how does it affect pilots. Some of the vital functions of human body can be used to measure stress and high workload. The final part will deal with some research, using modern methods to measure stress and high workload during different flight phases, to upgrade cockpit ergonomics and procedures in aviation.

Impact of fatigue on pilot reaction time
(University of Zilina, 2022) Sloboda, Peter; Škvareková, Iveta
The main goal of the diploma thesis is to analyze the impact of fatigue on the reaction time of the pilot, its possib;ilities of elimination and ways of solving the problem, which greatly affects safety in air transport. The measurements took place at different times, in the morning and in the afternoon, on the basis of which we will compare the length of the reaction time to visual stimuli affected by fatigue. We performed measurements for safety reasons on the L-410 simulator. The simulator is equipped with two cameras based on which we will analyze the length of the reaction time.

Utilisation of advanced avionics systems in basic flight training
(University of Zilina, 2021) Novák, Jozef; Kandera, Branislav
The paper deals with the use of advanced avionics systems in basic flight training. From the point of view of aviation history, this issue is relatively new, because for many decades only aircraft with analog instruments have been used for training. From the content point of view, the paper can be divided into two significant parts. The first, theoretical part describes the knowledge of the issue. In 2019, two new Zlín Z-242 aircraft equipped with the Garmin G500 TXi glass cockpit were added to the fleet of the Air Training and Education Centre (LVVC). Therefore in the second, practical part we conducted a survey among instructors and students of LVVC on the issue discussed and their experience of training on this aircraft. In addition, we looked at how to effectively train pilots when using training aircraft with advanced avionics systems. Completion of the practical part of the paper was the creation of multimedia learning material, which should help novice pilots prepare for the use of basic features of Garmin G500 TXi and acquaint them with knowledge that will help especially the first flight hours to be more efficient as they begin the training on new aircraft

    Measuring of pilot workload
(University of Zilina, 2021) Plichta, Dávid; Škvareková, Iveta
The aim of our paper is to analyse the issue of measuring of workload and subsequently carry out our own measures of pilot workload on pilots of different skill level. These measures took place in a simulator, mainly due to safety of air traffic. The chosen phase of flight had been approach and landing, which represents the most difficult phase. We had also chosen two airports, where one presents an airport known to the pilot and the other unknown. This decision relates to the opinion, that the pilot workload is significantly lower has he experience with the airport

    VÝCVIK PILOTOV VRTUĽNÍKOV
(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Hudáčková, Barbora; Kandera, Branislav
This paper describes basic helicopter pilot training, regulatory requirements for theoretical and practical training and specialized types of training in Slovak air force and helicopter emergency medical service Air Transport Europe. The aim of the work was to introduce the reader to helicopter training in the area of Slovak Republic in brief form and its possible use. The thesis also deals with the training of pilots themselves, and their perception of training.

DĹŽKA REAKČNÉHO ČASU PILOTA PRI VYBRANÝCH LETOVÝCH ÚKONOCH
(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Sloboda, Peter; Škvareková, Iveta
The main aim of this paper is methodics proposal of the reaction time of a pilot measurement by the various flight operations. It is possible to use a several methods when doing the reaction time measurement. We proposed to apply the video camera device GO PRO and the Eye Track Glasses (ETG). Due to the health and safety, the process of measurements happened at the simulator L-410, which is equipped with the glass cockpit. In order to achieve the objective results we propose to test the pilots of various numbers of flown hours. The whole process of the testing flight is proposed in the methodology. The testing flight is aimed to find out the biological perceptions of human as a reaction to the various impulses. As a result, we will compare the time difference of the reaction to the visual, acustic and audiovisual impulses, which are controlled by an aircraft in the event a threat to flight safety.

VPLYV AUTOMATIZÁCIE NA LETOVÉ ZRUČNOSTI PILOTA
(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Zermeghová, Michaela; Škvareková, Iveta
Air transport is the most dynamic and fastest growing transport sector. However, along with the increase in frequency, the demand for safety is also rising. The development of air transport has brought a number of automated systems that make work easier for pilots. Over time, however, in addition to the positives, negative signs of progress began to show. The bachelor thesis deals with the study of the influence of automation on the flight skills of a pilot. The author explains the basic concepts of the human factor and automation, while also dealing with the history of the development of automation and a comparison of the philosophy of the two largest aircraft manufacturers in the world. It also analyzes the contribution of human causes to air accidents. It examines the current state of the impact of automation and compares various studies with the views of pilots.
