dc.description.abstractThis thesis aims to explain the nature of the diffusion process and the importance of this process in the field of engineering production. The thesis contains information on the principles and mechanisms by which diffusion takes place, as well as on the environmental influences and factors that directly affect this process. The thesis concludes with a description of selected manufacturing and surface treatment processes used in mechanical engineering, the principal basis of which is diffusion.en_US
