Abstract
The paper defines the concept of franchising, characterizes its basic features,
describes the system and conditions important for the functioning of franchising business. The
paper also deals with the legislation that regulates this form of business, advantages and
disadvantages, opportunities and risks of the franchising, both in terms of the franchisor or
franchisee.
