dc.description.abstractThe aim of the article was to outline the methods of aviation fuel production and propose the production of aviation kerosene from waste hydrocarbon sources. The article contains information about currently used aviation fuels, evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of their use, and the status of alternative propulsion utilization in aviation with an emphasis on ecology. The focus of the article is on methods of laboratory testing of the properties and quality of aviation kerosene as the most commonly used aviation fuel, where testing methods and procedures on specific laboratory instruments are described. In the practical part of this thesis, the method of producing aviation kerosene from waste hydrocarbon sources, specifically waste motor oils and industrial emulsions, is described. The detailed procedure for fuel production is subsequently concluded with laboratory testing of basic properties and their comparison with the properties of aviation kerosene.
