The article deals with the manifestations of mental workload, a risk factor in the work environment, such as stress, fatigue, monotony and mental overload. It includes recommended procedures and methods of assessing mental and sensory workload in terms of work characteristics and work environment, as well as recommended measures to reduce the level of excessive mental workload.Item Možnosti implementace nových technologií do komunikačního rozhraní simulátoru na podporu řešení krizových situací(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2021) Barta, Jiří; Kalenda, JiříThe number of anthropogenic and natural disasters is growing and their impacts increase pressure on prevention and crisis preparedness in the public and private sectors. Exercises of the crisis management authorities, which test and verify both plans and capabilities, form part of the crisis preparedness. The article deals with the preparation and application of crisis preparedness training using software and simulation tools. The next part of the article focuses on the training of the crisis management bodies, describing all preparation and implementation phases. Simulation has a great impact on preparedness due to the possibility to test and verify plans and capabilities of included bodies, identify deficiencies and create an environment for improvements. The results of the exercise were applied in an evaluation that detected problems in the use of new technologies and crisis communication.Item Špecifiká podvodu typu „CEO“(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2021) Jurisová, MichaelaThe article deals with a specific type of fraud – Chief Executive Officer Fraud – CEO Fraud. This crime also grows in the Slovak Republic. Its specifics are the presence of a false manager, sophistication of perpetrators, international dimension, deceiving the accountant, masked email, „money mule“, money laundering, extensive financial damage, social engineering, etc. The text contains information about the situation in the Slovak Republic, mainly in 2020. The article also includes recommendations and prevention optionsItem Analýza vybraných indikátorov hodnotenia zmeny klímy na území SR (pre účely podpory rozvoja záchranných služieb)(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2021) Marková, Iveta; Monoši, MikulášThe development of climate change is evaluated based on trends in long-term time series (1951 - 2018) of individual climatic elements, comparing values of individual years with the standard period in climatology 1961 - 1990 (SAŽP, 2019). The aim of the article is to evaluate climate elements, namely the production of greenhouse gases, average annual air temperature, annual total atmospheric precipitation, drought index and annual soil temperature (soil index). Data presented in the article are obtained from public reports on the state of the environment in the Slovak Republic and other related documents. In 1881 - 2018, Slovakia underwent significant changes in all monitored climatic elements. The most crucial changes occurred in 2017 and 2018.Item Vplyv horskej záchrannej služby na bezpečnosť(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2021) Kubás, Jozef; Hollá, Katarína; Polorecká, MáriaThe paper describes the key intervention component included in the integrated rescue system of the Slovak Republic - the Mountain Rescue Service. It represents its inclusion within the integrated rescue system with the definition of the main tasks. Moreover, it specifies in detail the specific activities that this rescue unit performs in the Slovak Republic. In the Conclusions, based on processed statistical data illustrated by graphs, it points out the most frequent interventions of the Mountain Rescue Service and their number. It also highlights the justification for the interventions and their growing number over the years. The first chapter deals with the general characteristics and description of a soft target object. The next chapter focuses on the characteristics and description of a proactive security breach model. The article then characterizes the analysis of fire protection measures. The subsequent chapter deals with proactive methods of fire protection, where the operation of activities in fire protection is divided into several phases. The final chapter focuses on the design and application of specific proactive methods of providing fire protection for a soft target object. Specifically, it is a shopping centre building, where several types of proactive activities are proposed to improve the effectiveness of minimizing the risk of threats in fire protection.Item Využitie vybraných metód operačného výskumu pri plánovaní ochrany síl vo vzdušných operáciách(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2021) Bakič, MartinAt the beginning of the article, we characterize the purpose, conditions, utilization and objectives of force protection for air operations. We focus on selected modern methods applicable in the planning process of force protection for air operations. The article presents the research based on the Markov model, scenario method (scenario planning) and SWOT analysis in aviation with direct implementation into the planning process in this field. We briefly define the selected methods and identify their specific use in force protection planning for air operations. Specifically, we examine the method application as efficiently as possible in real-life situations (in operations) or complex exercises before the actual deployment of forces.Item Manažment rizík v športových organizáciách(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2021) Buganová, Katarína; Hudáková, Mária; Lusková, MáriaThe environment of a sports organization is currently considered unstable, uncertain, and turbulent, with constantly changing conditions. There is a need to implement risk management in sports organizations, taking into account their specifics as well as the requirements for the nature of the activity that the risk manager should provide. The aim of the paper is to evaluate the current state of sports organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic in Slovakia, to propose the inclusion of a risk manager in the management of sports organizations and to describe the basic steps of applying the risk management process in sports organizations. In accordance with the set goal, the research methodology was selected. Observational methods, conclusions from empirical research, studies as well as scientific methods focused on the analysis and synthesis of the proposed solutions were used to obtain data.
