The paper is discussing about the procedures during security threats and how the cabin crew members should act correctly in connection with illegal acts committed on board the aircraft. The paper analyses and compares the training regulations of the American FAA and the European EASA. Both European and American legislations are based on ICAO regulations, what means that the regulations of those two organizations differ only minimally. In the next part of this paper there is the short enquiry created for employees of an airlines. It was created to determine the satisfaction of cabin crew members with security training and also to identify the deficiency in the security training. By analysing the answers, we found out that quite often there are unruly passengers on board the aircraft. Almost every respondent has experienced such a situation. The main deficiency in the security training is about the practical part. Most respondents would place more emphasis on the duration of practical training for cabin crew members. Another shortage is the lack of training materials for cabin crew members to better understand the issue of security threats. Based on analysis of regulations and evaluation of the enquiry, we suggested new recommendations for the security training of cabin crew. The aim of these recommendations is to improve the security training for cabin crew members and thus positively contribute to increase the level of aviation security.Item HYBRIDNÉ POHONY LIETADIEL(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Dančová, Dominika; Janovec, MichalThe aim of this paper is to evaluate the propulsion of aircraft from the present to the future development of the aviation industry. In introduction, the thesis focuses on the history and emergence of air freight. It is an important element for answering the question of why and what role freight transport has on the market. Furthermore, the work divides, categorizes and thus gives a basic approach to costs. To solve our problem and determine the results, it was necessary to report the cost indicators theoretically. They can then determine the amount of cost. They are costs problems in all airlines. Therefore, every company must have to regulate its costs as much as possible and try to reduce them to avoid unwanted losses. The last chapter deals with a detailed analysis of selected air carriers and compares their expenes. Costs vary with regard to the type and position of the carrier in the air transport market.Item IMPLEMENTÁCIA MODERNÝCH TECHNOLÓGIÍ DO VÝCVIKU PRÍSTROJOVÉHO LIETANIA(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Královenský, Marek; Jůn, FrantišekThis paper deals with modern technologies available in transport aircraft, of which the implementation in instrument flight training would contribute to improving the quality and safety of training provided. Most civil flights are predominantly international in nature, which is an important factor in civil aviation legislation. Main aim of work is to analyse the legislation in civil aviation in the field of international aviation law. The work deals with the definition of the airspace as the space above the state land territory, internal and coastal waters, which is part of the state territory. Each state has complete and absolute sovereignty over the airspace above the territory of the state. The division of airspace, which is analysed in the article, is important for air traffic controllers and for providers of air navigation services. The legal norms that regulate the regime of flights over the defined territories of states are known as freedoms of the air. The authors acquaint the reader with the basic terms and definitions from the theory of law for a proper understanding of the international civil aviation law. We also analysed the most important legal aspects in the international civil aviation which are contained in bilateral conventions. At the end is a list of the most important conventions related to aviation law and protection against acts of unlawful interference. The article concludes with the Slovak Aviation Act as the most important national civil aviation law in the Slovak republic country.Item Práce a štúdie - celé vydanie č.8(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020)Item PREVÁDZKOVÉ POSÚDENIE LIETADIEL PILATUS PC-12 A BEECHCRAFT B-200 KING AIR(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Biskupič, Tomáš; Jůn, FrantišekThe choice of topic and the beginning of its elaboration reflects the economic situation in Europe before the outbreak of the global pandemic of the COV-19 virus. Several domestic airlines tried to survive on the Slovak air transport market, however, the influence of various exogenous and internal factors led to their decline. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to design a concept of an air carrier, taking into account the current market, in which it would have sufficient potential to establish itself. By examining the legislative framework relevant to the European Economic Area, this paper seeks to provide a conceptual overview of the various forms of subsidies in aviation, as a contribution to a more holistic understanding of an economic relationship between the carrier and the state. Based on a purposive sampling methodology for the selection of individual decisions of the European Commission, existing forms of subsidies and the possibility of their application for the proposed concept of an air carrier are identified and categorized. By constructively evaluating the analytical document prepared in 2018, the paper draws attention to the incomplete and irrelevant outputs of the "Analysis of the establishment of a national air carrier". These relate in particular to the carrier's financial management estimates, the proposed route network, the absence of an in-depth analysis of the end markets and the design of the air carrier's business model. Moreover, this paper examines the link between the air transport industry and macroeconomic indicators of Slovakia, and indicates the trends and identified consumer behavior of domestic passengers. The output of the performed analysis and observations is the design of a hybridized business model with predominant aspects of traditional air carriers. This business model specifies the nature of the services provided, the target segments of passengers, the network of routes and frequencies, horizontal cooperation with partner carriers, pricing policy, ownership structure and recommendations for the air carrier's fleet. This paper also identifies threats arising from the complex market environment, which is demonstrably influenced by the passive policy of the state in matters of air transport development. Among other things, it emphasizes the growing tendencies of competing carriers and the threat of adverse economic cycle changes. In connection with the threats, it outlines individual scenarios of their fulfillment and the risks, which the proposed air carrier should approach rationally.Item POROVNANIE VÝCVIKOVÝCH OSNOV PILOTOV V ČESKOSLOVENSKU Z OBDOBIA I. SVETOVEJ VOJNY A II. SVETOVEJ VOJNY(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Beťková, Kristína; Kazda, AntonínThis paper covers the topic of the training curricula of pilots from the beginning of World War I till the end of World War II in Czechoslovakia. The purpose of this thesis was to focus on the process of the development of the training and factors, that affect this development. Since the author is in pilot training too, she considered it to be interesting enough to find out what was the development of the training and further process of adaptation, that she could later compare to the training she is a part of. The author obtained information mostly from description of historical events, that were substantiated by facts of evolution of aircraft. In the beginning, the thesis covers pilot training in the nowadays society and by obtaining additional information using the historical procedure, in individual chapters the author analyzes the functionality of training centers during particular periods, the characteristics of aircraft technology, the requirements imposed on pilots, the training itself and its development. Ultimately, the author concludes that the aircraft technology and the demands placed upon pilots during their career are the predominant causes of changes in training and, on the other hand, finds that the political situation, which used to affect the training during World War I and II greatly, is nowadays pushed to the background.Item NOVÉ FORMY HORIZONTÁLNEJ SPOLUPRÁCE LETECKÝCH SPOLOČNOSTÍ(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Turčan, Dávid; Novák Sedláčková, AlenaThe aim of the paper is to introduce the information about forms of horizontal cooperation between companies in the aviation sector. The secondary objective of the work is to introduce the design possibilities offered by manufacturing companies operating on the market, with the intention of the best product selection in the construction of acrobatic aircraft, with special requirements. The intention is to point out the factors that have to be taken into account when selecting products with their subsequent comparison in terms of technology used by the company for the best performance of the aircraft. The last chapter deals with the issue of aviation electrification, its use in aerobatic sports, and the advantages that the electric motor brings.Item IMPLEMENTÁCIA PALIVOVÝCH ČLÁNKOV V ALTERNATÍVNEJ POHONNEJ SÚSTAVE LETÚNOV(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Valentovičová, Laura; Čerňan, JozefThis paper is focused on the research of the implementation of fuel cells in an alternative aircraft propulsion system. Regarding the fact that the world’s population is growing and fossil fuel reserves are gradually depleting, the aviation industry considers fuel cells as a substitute for traditional aircraft propulsion systems. The first chapter deals with the generation of thrust in aircraft propulsion units, where the principle of thrust generation is defined as well as the factors affecting it. This chapter further compares engine thrust generation with jet propulsion and propeller propulsion and includes division of aircraft propulsion units, too. The second chapter begins with the history of the origin, development, analysis, and principle of operation of fuel cells. The chapter also includes information about the hydrogen fuel cell, description of hydrogen production and its fundamental information, and the use of hydrogen or fuel cells in aviation. The possibilities of using fuel cells in the creation of alternative aircraft propulsion, where the analysis of the issue is defined from the point of view of several companies, are discussed in the third chapter. The fourth chapter is devoted to the socio-economic problem of an alternative aircraft propulsion system based on fuel cells. Comparison of the overall effectiveness of two propulsion units (namely turboprop engine and fuel cell combined with electric motor) resulting in the fuel cell being favourable due to its greater efficiency is included as well. The chapter defines the application of fuel cells not only in aircraft propulsion system but emphasises their other advantageous functions. The fourth chapter is concluded with the description of the role of hydrogen and fuel cells from an environmental point of view as well as economic challenges in commercialisation. In conclusion, although the costs of the implementation of fuel cells are significantly higher than combustion engine costs, the overall costs should be comparable after a longer period of fuel cell operation due to their higher efficiency and thus lower fuel consumption.
