Item Analýza monitorovania motorových prístrojov a činnosti pilota počas letov ifr(University of Žilina, 2024) Farský, Jakub; Chodelka, FrederikFor safe flight, it is necessary for the pilot to be able to correctly divide his attention during flight between primary and secondary controls. An important part of this is a proper familiarisation with the aircraft and pre-flight preparation. Within this article, the equipment of the aircraft used for training at LVVC during IFR flights is presented in terms of the display of the engine instruments. The analysis of the activities reveals possible in-flight hazards that may affect the pilot's situational awareness during the execution of the flight. Observations on the simulator are used to determine the current state of situational awareness among the pilots in training and to address the problem encountered. The contribution of this thesis is the proposal of the application of scanflow to the monitoring of engine instruments and such measures that could help to increase situational awareness and thereby ensure a higher level of safety during the performance of flight activities.Item Uplatnenie lietadiel rodiny Airbus A320 NEO a Boeing 737 MAX na európskom trhu(University of Žilina, 2024) Helt, Marek; Chodelka, FrederikAn article is devoted to the application of the Airbus A320 NEO and Boeing 737 MAX family aircraft on the European market. It describes the history and origin of individual aircraft families, their technical parameters, the division of generations and a description of models. Consequently, common and different features of both families, their use and equipment are found in this work. The article also includes a section on methodology and methodologies, which describes what research methods were used in the work. The last chapters of the thesis are devoted to the disease Covid-19 and the impact on air transport. These chapters describe two crashes of 737 MAX aircraft and their subsequent return to service after grounding.Item Analýza využitia pozemných rádionavigačných zariadení v civilnom letectve(University of Žilina, 2024) Kontra, Leo; Chodelka, FrederikThe goal of this article is to showchase the different possibilities and ways to execute instrument navigation in civil aviation. Two general types of navigational aids and systems are presented, which are, on one hand the conventional, ground-based radionavigational aids and on the other hand, the more modern, satellite based systems. Differneces between them are explained together with their advantages and disadvantages. The current situation in this area is analysed, especially in Slovakia with its surrounding countries, and the changes in procedures that occur in time are noted. The next way of evolution in the future is also indicated based on commenced processes as well as the current legislation concerning this area. In the end readers of this article are given a brief introduction into this problematic containing the current trends of evolution.Item Plánovanie a postupy navigačných letov VFR(University of Žilina, 2024) Legiň, Jakub; Chodelka, FrederikFlying according to the visual flight rules is one of the fundamental requirements for every pilot license applicant. VFR cross-country flights combine the main principles of aviation practice, which a pilot needs to master during initial flight training. These principles encompass elements of piloting, navigation, and communication. The aim of this article is to present the basic legislative requirements related to VFR cross-country flights, including Rules of the Air defined by European regulations and the Aeronautical Information Services of the Slovak Republic. The article also describes the procedures for planning VFR cross-country flights, as well as innovative tools designed for flight planning and monitoring.Item Analysis of selected vital functions of a pilot during flight(University of Žilina, 2023) Rimarčík, Timotej; Chodelka, FrederikPilots work in distinct environment and there are many requirements they must fulfill to ensure the safe operation of an aircraft. However, there are also some psychological elements, that might be difficult to deal with, such as stress and high workload, while performing difficult flight tasks. This article explains what causes stress and high workload, and how does it affect pilots. Some of the vital functions of human body can be used to measure stress and high workload. The final part will deal with some research, using modern methods to measure stress and high workload during different flight phases, to upgrade cockpit ergonomics and procedures in aviation.Item Evaluation of Slovak manufactured aircraft suitable for pilot training in flight training organization(University of Žilina, 2023) Pavlusíková, Emília Alexandra; Chodelka, FrederikAeroplanes described in this paper are designed for sporting and recreational purposes, but also meet the requirements for training purposes of pilots. Paper is focused on detailed characterization and technical specification of individual aeroplane, their usability, safety, and economy. The contribution of the title is to create a methodology for selecting aeroplanes suitable for training purposes in a particular training organization, and subsequently applying the procedure to the one of the aeroplanes.Item Methodology of MCC training in the conditions of the air training and education centre(University of Zilina, 2021) Chodelka, Frederik; Braciník, TomášThe main goal of the paper is to create a methodology for the theoretical and practical part of the multi-crew cooperation training course, which is provided by the Air Training and Education Centre of the University of Žilina since 2007. At the same time, the purpose of the methodology will be to contribute to the quality of education, streamlining the multi-crew cooperation training course and to provide a comprehensive study material for training candidates that reflects on the changes made from 2007 to the present. The reason which stimulated the elaboration of the paper is mainly the already existing study material, published in 2007 within the publication Metodika pilotného výcviku na letovom simulátore, which has now proved to be outdated and insufficient for the needs of the training course. The training material does not reflect the legislative changes made, the modifications to the flight and navigation procedures trainer and some training elements, which are currently emphasized in the training process. The paper, the content of which is a new methodology focused exclusively on the multi-crew cooperation training course, is based on valid and effective regulations, on the airplane flight manual of Beechcraft Super King Air B200 / B200C, inspired by internal operation manuals of the airline operators, internal manuals of the Air Training and Education Centre and is also based on the Metodika pilotného výcviku na letovom simulátore. It will be possible to apply the content of the paper as an up-to-date methodology for theoretical and practical part of the multi-crew cooperation training course, which meets all the currently required criteria. At the same time, it will be possible to implement some parts of the paper into the internal manuals of the Air Training and Education Centre.
