TVORBA ŠTUDIJNÝCH MATERIÁLOV - KOMUNIKAČNÉ SYSTÉMY
(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Marman, Nikolas; Novák, Andrej
The main objective of this thesis is to create study materials for basic, but mainly for modern communication systems, which could help the future students of Department of Air Transport during preparation for subject focused on communication systems. In the first part, basic principles of communication and communication systems are described. Next, the thesis switches to radio communication, specifically high and very high frequency communication. This part is complemented by SELCAL system. Furthermore, the thesis describes modern communication systems starting with CPDLC, which provides data link communication. It continues with aeronautical telecommunication network, ATN. Main part is finished by satellite systems, AMSS, with support systems. There are described satellites and satellite networks provided by INMARSAT and Iridium NEXT, AMSS channels and architecture. Finally the thesis describes LDACS, technology which shares many elements with actual 4G mobile network. Whole thesis is supplemented by digital presentations for every section of the main part.

TVORBA ŠTUDIJNÝCH MATERIÁLOV – NAVIGAČNÉ SYSTÉMY
(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Mikulášiková, Michaela; Novák, Andrej
The aim of this paper is to present current navigation systems and their use in air transport. Describing their history, categories, principles of operation and practical use. The paper also deals with the problems of navigation systems in determining the accuracy of positioning and errors that may occur in determining the position. It focuses primarily on the current, most advanced navigation systems, called the Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) used to determine the exact location of an observer on Earth. It describes the function and accuracy of systems such as American GPS, Russian GLONASS, European Galileo and Chinese BeiDou and points out their importance in navigation. It also compares the quality of individual systems. It deals with the construction, structure, principles of operation and factors that influence their resulting positioning accuracy. The augmentation navigation systems SBAS, GBAS and ABAS, which are closely related to GNSS systems are also mentioned in this paper.
