    Konštrukcia pružného kolesa harmonického prevodu
(University of Žilina, 2024) Kepeň Harachová, Daniela; Krajňák, Jozef; Maláková, Silvia
Flexspline is one of the most important components of harmonic drive. Flexspline is very adversely stressed during operation. In essence, stresses from deformation by the generator, stresses from the transmitted load and local stresses from the bending of the teeth in the tooth gaps act in it. Flexspline is radially flexible, but torsionally very stiff. When the wave generator is inserted into the Flexspline, the gear takes on its elliptical shape. When designing a flexible wheel, it is very important to determine and correctly choose its geometric properties.

Konštrukcia strižného nástroja pre pristrihovanie činných plôch
(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2023) Melo, Borislav; Dostál, Robert
Cutting technology is one of the basic and supporting methods, preferably of dividing materials. The preparation of material for further processing cannot be imagined without the use of cutting technology. The text of the contribution describes the geometric solution of the cutter and also the construction of the used tool for the area of trimming sheet metal and creating qualitatively more suitable cutting surfaces. The goal of the contribution was the design of a tool for the application of sheet metal trimming.

Tvárnenie skla v jednoduchom tvárniacom nástroji
(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2023) Moravec, Ján
The contribution presents the analysis and issues of glass forming in a forming tool with external heating. The necessary theoretical knowledge and properties of glass, which are necessary for solving the design of the forming tool, are listed. technological methods of glass forming are mainly press-blowing and forming with a double-blowing system. With the help of the described tool, glass can be relatively successfully shaped, which is inserted into the tool in the shape of a plate. The glass plate, which is bent into a cylindrical or hemispherical shape, is placed on the press and heated with a flame until the glass is sufficiently soft to work with.

Prototyp simulátora letového environmentálneho laboratória Evirolab
(University of Žilina, 2021) Janovec, Michal; Materna, Matúš; Pecho, Pavol; Kandera, Branislav; Radosa, Filip
The aim of this paper is to create a solid structural platform for the placement of computer equipment and other computer accessories to create a flight simulator from scratch. The simulator will be designed to help pilots in training get accustomed to basic flight procedures and the behavior of aircraft control surfaces during flight. Practical part deals with the design of a simulator inspired by the airplane Zlín Z 242 L, the selection of suitable material and technology to produce this simulator and the measurement of most important dimensions required for the making process. Obtained dimensions will be used to model the structure in a three-dimensional plane with the help of computer aided software, in order to create blueprints of our simulator structure. Said blueprints will be later used to cut building materials to required length and to assemble the construction frame. Last pages are dedicated to seating all required computer software directly on the frame in the correct manner.

Socio-Economic Impacts of Road Infrastructure Development During- and Post-Construction in a Fast-Growing City in Nigeria
(University of Zilina, 2020) Ogunseye, Nathaniel Oluwaseun; Oyejola, Oluwaseun Emmanuel; Salisu, Umar Obafemi; Momodu, Surajudeen Oluseyi; Fasina, Simeon Oluwagbenga
Road infrastructure is vital to the development of any human settlement and thus it remains an integral part of the municipalities’ annual budget. Despite the numerous benefits road infrastructure development (RID) offers, its development imposes negative impacts. While literature is replete with studies on socio-economic impacts of RID at post-construction stage, attention has not been paid to impacts during construction. Consequently, this study aims at analysing the socio-economic impacts of RID during- and post-construction in Abeokuta city in Nigeria. Multistage sampling technique was utilised in sample selection for the study. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were adopted for data analysis with the aid of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Findings from the descriptive analysis indicated that residents were adversely impacted during construction in areas such as business activities, travel rate, property value, vehicle condition and community health. Regression analysis revealed road development statistically impact on socio-economic activities during construction with three out of nine predictors: transport fare (p=0.009), business activities (p=0.015), and community health (0.031) exerting the major influence. Also, at post-construction stage, regression analysis revealed road development statistically impact the socio-economic activities with four of the nine predictors: transport fare (p=0.042), business activities (p=0.009), community health (p=0.035), and property value (p=0.003) exerting the most significant influence. Student t-test results showed that statistical difference existed between ‘during construction’ and ‘post-construction’ impacts regarding property value, business activities, community health and transport fare. Finally, the study suggested ways to mitigate problems associated with RID, particularly during construction.
