Item Traditional air carriers fare and booking class names as a part of their marketing strategy(University of Žilina, 2023) Sitarčík, Adam; Materna, Matúš; Šajbanová, KristínaThis paper focuses on the issue of fare and booking class names of traditional air carriers. Paper discusses the issues of traditional air carriers, history, development and current status, fleets, airline networks, services offered as well as mutual alliances. The article also focuses on the market analysis of the offered class names of the traditional air carriers divided by region. Paper includes an analysis of the data obtained in clear tables regarding preferred names of classes.Item The posibility of icing during light precipitation as a dangerous phenomenom for flying at Slovak airports(University of Žilina, 2023) Ševčík, Matej; Šajbanová, KristínaIn this article, we will focus on icing as a dangerous phenomenon for civil aviation. In the theoretical part, we will take a closer look at the conditions under which icing forms, where it forms on the plane and what types of icing we know. Furthermore, the article includes how we can prevent the formation of icing and how we an protect ourselves from it. In the practical part, we will analyze data using METAR reports from airports in Slovakia for the last 5 years. We will determine the conditions under which icing could form and then ompare them together. The result of the work should be an analysis that determines how many times icing occurred at the airports of Slovakia, in what time of year icing forms the most.Item Analysis of alternative control options fot the ROTAX 915 is engine(University of Žilina, 2023) Plochová, Jana; Šajbanová, KristínaThis article focuses on analyzing the possibilities of alternative management of the ROTAX 915 IS aircraft engine using the ECU MASTER electronic control unit. The article examines how the use of ECU MASTER could become a beneficial alternative to the traditional manufacturer's control system. The new control system would ensure lower costs for purchasing ECU and reduce the number of sensors required to operate the engine. This would achieve a lower weight of the entire system, which is very important for aircraft in terms of fuel efficiency and cost savings.Item Sustainable aviation fuel from the perspective of long-term sustainability and development(University of Žilina, 2022) Šajbanová, Kristína; Janovec, Michal; Zachar Kuchtová, JanaThe aim of the article is to create a SWOT analysis of the position of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) as an innovative available product on the aviation fuel market and to evaluate its development and application in the coming years. The motivation for the analysis and subsequent creation of this work is the fact that the topic of sustainable aviation fuels is currently extremely actual and also relevant for the future of air transport, as well as the future of the ecosystem from the point of view of reducing the emission load caused by the emissions of aircraft engines, which have a non-negligible share of the ecological load our planet. Because the combustion process in aircraft engines is the main factor in the creation of emissions, alternative aviation fuels from sustainable sources have been developed in order to reduce them. Thanks to the analysis of the goals of the influential aviation manufacturers, we found that the attention paid to the implementation of sustainable fuel is currently and will be given increased attention in the future. Achieving this goal will be made possible through technological advances and governance adjustments in many companies affecting aviation, from aircraft and fuel manufacturers to institutions dealing with administrative matters affecting aviation.Item Possibilities of using 3D printing technology in production of aircraft components(University of Zilina, 2021) Šajbanová, Kristína; Čerňan, Jozef; Janovec, MichalThe article provides the reader with a brief overview of the technology of industrial 3D printing used in the manufacturing process of aerospace technology. It includes analyses of the position of 3D printing in the aerospace industry and the forecast of its future development based on the marketing analysis of strengths / weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Many airlines and AMOs (Approved Maintenance Organizations) rely on externally supplied spare parts delivered over long distances. The whole process is expensive and time consuming and means a lost profit for the company. The performed SWOT analysis can therefore ultimately help the AMO manager to re-evaluate their production process in the light of the current innovative and progressive technology of industrial 3D printing. The aim of this work is to point out the existence of innovative 3D printing technology in aerospace production and to emphasize its preferences compared to conventional manufacturing techniques and procedures, thus providing a final perspective on the future of the 3D printing industry and its long-term sustainabilityItem Design optimization of a compressor stage with counter-rotating rotors(University of Zilina, 2021) Šajbanová, Kristína; Čerňan, JozefThe paper deals with the design optimization of the compressor stage with counter-rotating rotors, especially in order to create a model which, due to its parameters in real operation, would achieve the maximum possible values of efficiency. The primary goal of this work is to create a design of a compressor stage with counter-rotating rotors from a theoretical point of view. The compressor stage model is created using Inventor modelling software and the subsequent design evaluation and optimization is based on airflow analysis of the compressor stage using Ansys Discovery Live software. The secondary goal is to point out the existence and application of innovative and progressive technology of rapid prototyping in the world of aircraft component production and at the same time to emphasize its benefits in comparison with conventional production techniques applied in the initial stages of aircraft component production.
