Item ZMENY ÚLOH ANSP V BUDÚCOM PROSTREDÍ ATM(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Badánik, Benedikt; Reménységová, RebekaThis paper focuses on the future roles of air navigation service providers (ANSP). It describes the future structure of airspace and recognizes the need for improvement. The traditional role of ANSP is explained in the first chapter. It discusses the evolution of air navigation services from their dawn in 1920s. Additionally, it talks about the functions of ANSP and discusses their alliances and the trend of developing industrial partnerships instead of political. The differences between European and American air traffic control are reviewed, and the advantages of each system are described. The next chapter thoroughly explains the current airspace architecture, identifies its flaws, and shows possible solutions in the form of Trajectory-Based Operations (TBO) or, on a theoretical level, Functional Airspace Blocks FABs. The third chapter discusses the challenges and opportunities of the future air traffic management (ATM) architecture, with main focus on ANSP charges, civil and military cooperation and the responsibilities of ANSP during a worldwide pandemic. The fourth chapter is based around new concepts and roles. It explains the concepts of ATM Data Service Provider (ADSP), System Wide Information Management (SWIM), Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) and initiatives of Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR). It also outlines the tasks of the Wise Peron Group. Furthermore, in the final chapter, potential business models for ANSP are explained and categorized. Using SWOT analyzes the best potential model is chosen for the ANSP of Slovakia.Item VÝCVIK PALUBNÝCH SPRIEVODCOV V KONTEXTE AKTUÁLNEJ BEZPEČNOSTNEJ SITUÁCIE(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Pajdlhauser, Jakub; Rostáš, JánThe aim of this paper is to assess and analyse the threats related to unlawful interference to the air transport on which must cabin crew members focus on during training. The paper is discussing about the procedures during security threats and how the cabin crew members should act correctly in connection with illegal acts committed on board the aircraft. The paper analyses and compares the training regulations of the American FAA and the European EASA. Both European and American legislations are based on ICAO regulations, what means that the regulations of those two organizations differ only minimally. In the next part of this paper there is the short enquiry created for employees of an airlines. It was created to determine the satisfaction of cabin crew members with security training and also to identify the deficiency in the security training. By analysing the answers, we found out that quite often there are unruly passengers on board the aircraft. Almost every respondent has experienced such a situation. The main deficiency in the security training is about the practical part. Most respondents would place more emphasis on the duration of practical training for cabin crew members. Another shortage is the lack of training materials for cabin crew members to better understand the issue of security threats. Based on analysis of regulations and evaluation of the enquiry, we suggested new recommendations for the security training of cabin crew. The aim of these recommendations is to improve the security training for cabin crew members and thus positively contribute to increase the level of aviation security.Item METHODOLOGY FOR INSPECTION OF RIVETED SAMPLES BY THE ECA METHOD(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Janovec, Michal; Čerňan, JozefThe eddy current method is very often used technique of non-destructive testing and evaluation of materials. The method is very suitable for the detection of cracks that result from fatigue or cracking as a result of stress corrosion. Eddy current testing can be performed with minimal part preparation and a high degree of sensitivity. The eddy current method is used for the detection of surface and subsurface failures, corrosion in aircraft structures, holes for fixing various components and thread cracks. The paper describes the application of the eddy current method ECA in the inspection of riveted joints of the produced sample. The riveted sample is made of aluminum sheets and countersunk head rivets. Simulated damages are created around the rivet holes on the riveted specimen. Artificially formed notches simulate cracks around the rivet holes, and aluminum powder is used to simulate corrosion of aluminum sheets. These damages are then scanned with an Olympus OmniScan MX flaw defectoscop and the results of the measurements are evaluated in this article. SAB-067-005-032 and SBB-051-150-032 are used for non-destructive measurements.Item PRAVDEPODOBNOSŤ NEHODY BEZPILOTNÉHO LETECKÉHO PROSTRIEDKU NA ZEMI V OBÝVANEJ OBLASTI(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Ažaltovič, Viliam; Škvareková, Iveta; Pecho, Pavol; Kandera, BranislavThe study in this paper defines the amount of the possible ground casualty risk of randomly falling out-of-control UAV on a picked flight path, which was defined from the city of Žilina to the city of Martin, which were 29 km apart. For this area, the probability of a third party casualties caused by lose of control during the flight of UAV, was calculated. For these calculations was used the Equivalent Level of Safety approach. The conclusion provides recommendations for safety improvements during planning flight routes for unmanned aerial vehicles.Item HYBRIDNÉ POHONY LIETADIEL(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Dančová, Dominika; Janovec, MichalThe aim of this paper is to evaluate the propulsion of aircraft from the present to the future development of the aviation industry. In introduction, the thesis focuses on the history and emergence of air freight. It is an important element for answering the question of why and what role freight transport has on the market. Furthermore, the work divides, categorizes and thus gives a basic approach to costs. To solve our problem and determine the results, it was necessary to report the cost indicators theoretically. They can then determine the amount of cost. They are costs problems in all airlines. Therefore, every company must have to regulate its costs as much as possible and try to reduce them to avoid unwanted losses. The last chapter deals with a detailed analysis of selected air carriers and compares their expenes. Costs vary with regard to the type and position of the carrier in the air transport market.Item IMPLEMENTÁCIA MODERNÝCH TECHNOLÓGIÍ DO VÝCVIKU PRÍSTROJOVÉHO LIETANIA(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Královenský, Marek; Jůn, FrantišekThis paper deals with modern technologies available in transport aircraft, of which the implementation in instrument flight training would contribute to improving the quality and safety of training provided. Two comparative hypothetical flights are developed for each country in order to approximate the methods of calculating individual charges for given flights.Item ASSESSMENT OF THE MENTAL STATE OF PILOTS(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Kandera, Branislav; Chodelka, Frederik; Škvareková, IvetaThe main aim of this article is to define and evaluate current status of the problem, to point out insufficient or even missing mental health examinations of pilots and possible fatal consequences including air accidents caused by pilots’ mental health. According to actual regulations, mental health examinations are being provided only during the first aero-medical examination when applying for first class medical certificate. Today, the mental health is not being evaluated even during the regular examinations for the first class certificate neither for other classes certificates. The mental state of pilots is almost never checked which can mean a real danger for civil aviation. The results of not controlling mental state of pilots might lead to fatal accidents and innocent lives losses. The analysis of air accidents covered in this thesis is based on accidents’ investigations final reports and other relevant sources. Also, the knowledge gained from interviews with experts is applied. Even though the air accidents caused by psychical state of pilots are infrequent, the examinations of pilots’ mental health should not definitely be underrated and neglected.Item PRODUKCIA LIETADLOVEJ TECHNIKY(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Maliňák, Ivan; Bugaj, MartinThis paper was written to take a better look at the production of aircraft technology and make a comparison between the production of air transport and civil aviation airplanes. The last part shows the application of new production and aircraft technologies which already have or will have influence on aircraft production in the future.Item PRÁVNA ÚPRAVA MEDZINÁRODNÉHO CIVILNÉHO LETECTVA(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Pudíková, Alžbeta; Novák Sedláčková, AlenaAviation is one of the most important types of transport and is one of the fastest growing sectors. Most civil flights are predominantly international in nature, which is an important factor in civil aviation legislation. Main aim of work is to analyse the legislation in civil aviation in the field of international aviation law. The work deals with the definition of the airspace as the space above the state land territory, internal and coastal waters, which is part of the state territory. Each state has complete and absolute sovereignty over the airspace above the territory of the state. The division of airspace, which is analysed in the article, is important for air traffic controllers and for providers of air navigation services. The legal norms that regulate the regime of flights over the defined territories of states are known as freedoms of the air. The authors acquaint the reader with the basic terms and definitions from the theory of law for a proper understanding of the international civil aviation law. We also analysed the most important legal aspects in the international civil aviation which are contained in bilateral conventions. At the end is a list of the most important conventions related to aviation law and protection against acts of unlawful interference. The article concludes with the Slovak Aviation Act as the most important national civil aviation law in the Slovak republic country.Item Práce a štúdie - celé vydanie č.8(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020)Item PREVÁDZKOVÉ POSÚDENIE LIETADIEL PILATUS PC-12 A BEECHCRAFT B-200 KING AIR(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Biskupič, Tomáš; Jůn, FrantišekThe choice of topic and the beginning of its elaboration reflects the economic situation in Europe before the outbreak of the global pandemic of the COV-19 virus. Several domestic airlines tried to survive on the Slovak air transport market, however, the influence of various exogenous and internal factors led to their decline. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to design a concept of an air carrier, taking into account the current market, in which it would have sufficient potential to establish itself. By examining the legislative framework relevant to the European Economic Area, this paper seeks to provide a conceptual overview of the various forms of subsidies in aviation, as a contribution to a more holistic understanding of an economic relationship between the carrier and the state. Based on a purposive sampling methodology for the selection of individual decisions of the European Commission, existing forms of subsidies and the possibility of their application for the proposed concept of an air carrier are identified and categorized. By constructively evaluating the analytical document prepared in 2018, the paper draws attention to the incomplete and irrelevant outputs of the "Analysis of the establishment of a national air carrier". These relate in particular to the carrier's financial management estimates, the proposed route network, the absence of an in-depth analysis of the end markets and the design of the air carrier's business model. Moreover, this paper examines the link between the air transport industry and macroeconomic indicators of Slovakia, and indicates the trends and identified consumer behavior of domestic passengers. The output of the performed analysis and observations is the design of a hybridized business model with predominant aspects of traditional air carriers. This business model specifies the nature of the services provided, the target segments of passengers, the network of routes and frequencies, horizontal cooperation with partner carriers, pricing policy, ownership structure and recommendations for the air carrier's fleet. This paper also identifies threats arising from the complex market environment, which is demonstrably influenced by the passive policy of the state in matters of air transport development. Among other things, it emphasizes the growing tendencies of competing carriers and the threat of adverse economic cycle changes. In connection with the threats, it outlines individual scenarios of their fulfillment and the risks, which the proposed air carrier should approach rationally.
