Digitalization of the maintenance process for the needs of the CAO organization
(University of Zilina, 2022) Mariňák, Róbert; Braciník, Tomáš
Digitalization and automation are unstoppable processes that are linked to the present and have a significant impact on the efficiency of the work carried out in aviation or any other industry. The aim of this article is to create a digital maintenance environment for the needs of the Combined Airworthiness organisation (CAO), which is part of the Air Training and Education Centre of the University of Žilina. Such software would unify and facilitate the overall maintenance process performed by the CAO. In this article we have evaluate the requirements of the CAO organisation and the legislation in force. During the development process, we communicated extensively with both the experts and the maintenance staff for whom we were developing the program. Then, based on what we learned, we created a basic structure of the required software and hardware needed to create a digital maintenance environment and started building it. We have then described all the processes involved in the program and its components to the extent that this article can partially serve as a guide for the creation of such a program. Methods of drawing on software and hardware resources have been purposely limited in the article to free products or to those, that are commonly available in price. The work has resulted in functional software that contains all the necessary documents, job cards and forms to carry out maintenance and substantially replaces the more paper-intensive form of data entry and storage.

The importance of an aircraft maintenance program for operator
(University of Zilina, 2021) Kulíšek, Jakub; Bugaj, Martin
The paper on the topic The importance of aircraft maintenance for operator deals with the maintenance of aircraft at smaller operators. Maintenance is an important part of the operation of aircraft, and therefore we have created a work in which we pay detailed attention to the overall maintenance of the aircraft. The introductory chapter of the paper reveals to the reader the history of aircraft maintenance from its beginnings, during the first attempts of the Wright brothers, through the First World War, the Second World War to the current maintenance. The second chapter is the main part of the work and the work describes the general maintenance performed on aircraft around the world. In this chapter, we paid attention to the accuracy of the terms and we wanted to bring the reader valuable information that can be used further. In the introductory subchapters, we focus mainly on structural maintenance, followed by the maintenance of components that are located on the aircraft and last but not least, the type of maintenance performed on the aircraft. The chapter concludes with the maintenance review itself and selected maintenance checks. In the third chapter we deal with service and overhaul of aircraft. The subchapters contain information on maintenance planning, maintenance processes and problems that may occur during maintenance. The fourth chapter deals with the selected type of aircraft, namely the Piper PA-28R, where the reader can find general information about the aircraft, but also information about technical parameters. In the last part of the work, we focused on the practical part, in which we worked on a detailed analysis of the comparison of the two sectors. From the sources of information, we tried to conscientiously choose those that will enrich the work and give the reader sufficient knowledge about the paper.

Maintenance and reliability of aircraft technology
(University of Zilina, 2021) Rýzek, Dušan; Bugaj, Martin
The paper deals with the maintenance and influencing the human factor in aircraft maintenance. The work is divided into three basic parts. In the first part of the paper, the aim was to describe the maintenance from a historical point of view, to describe the individual stages of maintenance and to summarize how to maintain the years of development. We also have specified individual types of maintenance, maintenance intervals. The most extensive part in the theory are the laws and regulations that must comply with when performing maintenance in the Slovak Republic. This part is indeed included, but we consider it important to mention it in the work. The second part of the paper is the analysis of accidents of commercial aircraft in commercial aviation for the last 3 years. The analysis contains 43 accidents, from which we came to a conclusion. In the first part of the analysis, we selected those accidents that occurred due to maintenance, and then from these accidents, we further determined which accidents occurred due to human error in maintenance. The aim was to determine whether the number of accidents in commercial aviation in civil aviation due to maintenance should increase or decrease, and subsequently, whether the number of accidents in terms of human factor inmaintenance would increase or decrease. The last part so the conclusion is of course focused on the evaluation of the results of the analytical part and the declaration of whether we managed to meet the goal of the paper.

NÁVRH A IMPLEMENTÁCIA PLÁNOVACIEHO MODULU ÚDRŽBY PRE AUSTRIAN AIRLINES TECHNIK – BRATISLAVA
(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Kovács, Ladislav; Tencer, Lukáš
This article focuses on acquainting the reader with the issue of heavy maintenance planning. The article is based on the paper, in which the issue is described in detail the work is focused on the design and implementation of a maintenance planning module for Austrian Airlines Technik - Bratislava. The beginning of the work acquaints the reader with the current state in the organization and describes the basic concepts and documents for understanding the issue it further analyzes the input data needed to design the module. The core of the work describes the design of the module. However, the design of the module is insufficient for evaluation and therefore the module is partially implemented in real operation. After implementation comes monitoring and optimization of anomalies that were detected during monitoring. After optimization, there is a part where it is possible to evaluate what benefits the module will bring to the organization. The conclusion of the paper deals with the overall evaluation of the work..
