Letecké multispektrálne snímkovanie v poľnohospodárskom odvetví
(University of Žilina, 2024) Šmidt, Marco; Veľký, Patrik
This thesis focuses on the possibilities of applying airborne detection in many bands. Possibilities of multispectral detection in direction of use such as animal monitoring or scarecrow placement. In another direction of using thermal imaging for finding temperature anomalies or obtaining information from UAV sensors to improve economics in agriculture, light reflectance, electromagnetic spectrum, comparing satellites and UAVs in agriculture, and vegetation indices. The analysis of the studies was based on simulations and calculations followed by laboratory tests and external measurements. Using certain sensors operating in the corresponding regions of the frequency spectrum, the detection ranges of the drones were used to find the outputs derived from the calculated and simulated values, where a comparison of the studies followed.

Optimization of ground handling processes at KSC airport
(University of Žilina, 2023) Baštáková, Zuzana; Rostáš, Ján
Content of this professional article is to describe ground handling processes at the airport in Košice. The main goal is to optimize ground handling with an emphasis on their efficiency not only from the point of view of the range and quality of services provided, but also their correct timing. At the beginning of the article, I describe ground support equipments as well as all related activities that must be performed by handling workers to ensure the smooth operation of the airport and the satisfaction of air carriers, including their passengers. Part of the work is the analysis of technical parameters and functionalities of the equipment and technologies used on apron. The next part is devoted to the description and analysis of the system of ground handling at Košice airport. The last part will belong to the issue of process improvement with the identification of proposed changes leading to more efficient ground handling.

Analysis of selected aircrafts suitable for PPL training
(University of Zilina, 2021) Matula, Dominik; Bugaj, Martin
The main goal of the paper is based on the analysis to define the criteria for selecting an aircraft suitable for PPL training. We achieved the main goal by meeting two sub-goals. The first sub-objective is the analysis of training organizations in Slovakia, on the basis of which we have selected entities for the second sub-objective thus the analysis of selected aircrafts suitable for PPL training. In this work we analyze three, most used training aircrafts for PPL training in Slovakia. We analyze selected aircrafts in terms of three main parts, which include, analysis of technical parameters, analysis of flight characteristics and analysis of operating parameters. Based on the given analyzes, we obtained an evaluation of the characteristics of selected aircrafts, their individual advantages and disadvantages. Other results of the work include the evaluation of criteria that are suitable for aircrafts designed for PPL training. This work can be applied in practice, especially when deciding on the selection of a training aircraft for a student or training organization.

Analysis of new progressive diagnistic methods in the area of aircraft maintenance
(University of Zilina, 2021) Supuka, Matej; Hrúz, Michal
In the area of aircraft maintenance, we commonly meet with the problem of corrosion, detection of which is one of the primary obstacles. Implementation of modern sensing techniques has a potential to bring many benefits. The objective of this work is to analyze technologies, their potential applications, and viability of switching to autonomous detection using computer aided sensing. Primary source of information were research articles from science databases such as ResearchGate and ScienceDirect. Available documents were analyzed and subsequently, useful information was extracted. First part deals with theretical knowledge about corrosion, based on which potential technologies were chosen. Those were then described, and their viability was analyzed, based on how well they could achieve our goals. Selected technologies have shown potential, however necessary solutions could not be found to enable fully switching tou autonomous computer detection. Although data acquired show many potential benefits that could arise from partial implementation of these technologies combined fith old fashioned visual inspection.

ANALÝZA AKTUÁLNYCH TRENDOV URČUJÚCICH SMER VÝVOJA BEZPILOTNÝCH PROSTRIEDKOV V CIVILNOM LETECTVE
(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Butuk, Yosef; Ažaltovič, Viliam
This paper describes the current situation in the field of flying unmanned aircraft. It characterizes the legislative conditions in the Slovak Republic and the European Union and the areas of use of unmanned aerial vehicles. The main objective of the work is to analyze current trends that may affect the development of unmanned aircraft in civil aviation. The work also includes innovations in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles that could be implemented in the future. The conclusion of the bachelor thesis summarizes the results of the current analysis and predicting the future development of UAVs.

VYHODNOTENIE OPODSTATNENOSTI KÚPY A UVEDENIA LIETADLA DO KOMERČNEJ PREVÁDZKY)
(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) László, Michal; Urminský, Tomáš
The issue of assessing the condition of an aircraft at lease or sale is now becoming a frequented issue by airlines. The priority is to procure the aircraft in an acceptable technical condition and without hidden defects that could have a negative impact on its subsequent operability. Responsibility for this challenging task is taken over by experienced personnel from the continuing airworthiness management environment, with the help of certified maintenance technicians for the aircraft type. The article is focused on the evaluation of the condition of the aircraft of the turboprop aircraft ATR 72-212 for regional air connections. The subject of the analysis were its main components - engines, landing gear, propellers, reducers. These components together form a major part of the value of the aircraft and therefore it is important to focus on them in detail. The requirement was a minimum 2-year maintenance-free condition to ensure the operational needs of the airline. In the model situation, we then consider conversion to the cargo version after 2 years of operation. The conclusion of the article presents the total costs associated with overhauls and replacement of components and management of work associated with the re-commissioning.
