Item Weather and its impact on the work of rescue helicopters in terrain(University of Žilina, 2023) Zacharová, Alexandra; Čerňan, JozefIn the article it was necessary to define and clarify the basic theoretical knowledge and concepts in the field of aviation meteorology and also the technical and performance parameters of the rescue helicopters used in Slovakia. It was important to mention and clarify the elements of aviation meteorology that significantly affect the operation and reliability of the aircraft. Based on the theoretical aspects related to the issue, it was possible in the following chapters to proceed to the analysis and detailed examination of the impact of weather on the work of rescue helicopters, which was the main objective of the thesis. On the basis of the analysis of the activities and interventions of rescue helicopters from the past years and thanks to the clarified theoretical concepts, I was able to clarify the impact of weather on the number of emergencies requiring helicopter rescue medical service.Item Selection of the appropriate type of hems helicopter for the Slovak Republic(University of Zilina, 2022) Neština, Patrik; Škultéty, FilipThe diploma thesis deals with the issue of choosing the appropriate type of helicopter for the implementation of the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for the Slovak Republic. Currently, the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service is operated by a private company Air Transport Europe, Ltd., based at Poprad-Tatry Airport. The fleet of helicopters for rescue missions consists of three types helicopters. The oldest helicopter is the Agusta A109K2, then BELL 429 since 2013 and Eurocopter EC 135 T2+/P2+ since 2019. The aim of this thesis is to create an analysis of the current state, review affecting parameters such as operator options and possibilities, operating costs, maintenance costs, use due to the geographic features of the Slovak Republic and use of the helicopters for transporting patients with Covid-19 and other highly contagious diseases. The result will be the selection of the appropriate type of helicopter of the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service to be used under the conditions of the Slovak Republic.Item Analysis of implementation instrument approaches for hems heliports(University of Zilina, 2021) Posluch, Samuel; Pecho, PavolIn recent years, the trend of using a helicopters in the operation of the helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) has been increasing. The reason is the wide range of uses of the helicopter, fast and safe transport of wounded people using new copters. Nevertheless, it is not possible to operate flights in poor weather conditions with a sufficient number of interventions. There is a need to develop new procedures for flying even under conditions other than VFR flight rules. The current state of helicopter technology in Slovakia allows it and therefore it is appropriate that new procedures using GNSS be created to establish a safe flight. The aim of the analysis is to evaluate the input factors available to the operator and to create a design approach based on the legislative requirements for the use of GNSS systems on the selected heliport. The resulting approach design can be used as one of the options for creating procedures. Such proposals could also be implemented on other operational bases, for the creation of a network of instrument approach or departure systems, which would create space for increasing the safety of helicopter emergency medical service in Slovakia.Item VÝCVIK PILOTOV VRTUĽNÍKOV(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Hudáčková, Barbora; Kandera, BranislavThis paper describes basic helicopter pilot training, regulatory requirements for theoretical and practical training and specialized types of training in Slovak air force and helicopter emergency medical service Air Transport Europe. The aim of the work was to introduce the reader to helicopter training in the area of Slovak Republic in brief form and its possible use. The thesis also deals with the training of pilots themselves, and their perception of training.
