dc.description.abstractThis paper is focused on the use of information provided from meteorological satellites in air transport, its development and current status. The work defines general knowledge in the field of meteorology such as the history of meteorological satellites, the division of orbits and current meteorological satellites in orbits. The work also includes the characteristics of measured quantities and monitoring methods. The practical contribution of this work is the analysis of satellite images in Europe. Finally, the work deals with the future use of meteorological satellites and the development of new satellites.en_US
