Item ANALÝZA AKTUÁLNYCH TRENDOV URČUJÚCICH SMER VÝVOJA BEZPILOTNÝCH PROSTRIEDKOV V CIVILNOM LETECTVE(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Butuk, Yosef; Ažaltovič, ViliamThis paper describes the current situation in the field of flying unmanned aircraft. It characterizes the legislative conditions in the Slovak Republic and the European Union and the areas of use of unmanned aerial vehicles. The main objective of the work is to analyze current trends that may affect the development of unmanned aircraft in civil aviation. The work also includes innovations in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles that could be implemented in the future. The conclusion of the bachelor thesis summarizes the results of the current analysis and predicting the future development of UAVs.Item DETEKCIA A OCHRANA OBJEKTOV PROTI PREVÁDZKE BEZPILOTNÝCH LIETADIEL(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Bujna, Erik; Škultéty, FilipThe main topic of this bachelor thesis is the detection and protection of objects against the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The necessity of addressing this issue is due to the increasing prevalence of UAVs and increase in reports of airspace penetrations by unauthorised UAV operations. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyse the problem and provide an overview of the possibilities and methods of protection against unmanned aircraft. The first part of the bachelor thesis provides a brief overview of the issue, including terminology, an overview of current legislation, the possibility of using unmanned aircraft together with incidents that have also become the subject of the problem. The following chapters examine in more detail the possibilities of detection and protection against unmanned aircraft. The comparative method compares the positive and negative aspects of individual detection methods. In the third chapter are provided specific solutions which are based on the methods of security protection and defined principles to operators of areas with the necessary security protection. The conclusion of the bachelor thesis includes the analysis of the Bratislava airport surrounding, the definition of the protective zones of airport together with the protective zones of navigation devices. The result is a proposal for implementation of detection system, which should to ensure regular and safe operation and to reduce the risk of flying unmanned aircraft over the airport. The proposal of securing the airport against UAVs offers the possibility to protect the nearest surroundings of the airport from the intrusion of unmanned aircraft and in case of disruption of the covered area of early warning and the possibility of responding to the threat.Item DETEKCIA A PREDIKCIA HROZBY NÁMRAZY NA ZÁKLADE ANALÝZY POVETERNOSTNEJ SITUÁCIE A SPRÁV O POČASÍ NA LETISKU ŽILINA(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Fodor, Pavol; Jarošová, MiriamThe aim of the paper was to introduce the issue of icing as a dangerous phenomenon in aviation, its effect and impact on the safety of air transport and to approach this dangerous phenomenon in terms of aviation meteorology. We also paid considerable interest to air accidents caused by icing. However, we primarily focused on the description of the different types of icing, its division and occurrence of icing throughout various weather situations. In addition, we paid attention to classify and evaluate the occurrence of the icing on a specific weather situation, which made it possible to effectively predict the occurrence, origin or intensity of icing. We have also introduced the current state of icing prediction and prevention of flight into meteorological conditions with danger of icing.Item DĹŽKA REAKČNÉHO ČASU PILOTA PRI VYBRANÝCH LETOVÝCH ÚKONOCH(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Sloboda, Peter; Škvareková, IvetaThe main aim of this paper is methodics proposal of the reaction time of a pilot measurement by the various flight operations. It is possible to use a several methods when doing the reaction time measurement. We proposed to apply the video camera device GO PRO and the Eye Track Glasses (ETG). Due to the health and safety, the process of measurements happened at the simulator L-410, which is equipped with the glass cockpit. In order to achieve the objective results we propose to test the pilots of various numbers of flown hours. The whole process of the testing flight is proposed in the methodology. The testing flight is aimed to find out the biological perceptions of human as a reaction to the various impulses. As a result, we will compare the time difference of the reaction to the visual, acustic and audiovisual impulses, which are controlled by an aircraft in the event a threat to flight safety.Item ELECTRIC MOTOR AS A REPLACEMENT FOR COMBUSTION ENGINE IN PROPULSION SYSTEM OF AIRCRAFT(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Michalík, Matúš; Čerňan, JozefMain aim of this paper is to acquaint readers with a new-formed trend in aviation, which is electrification of aircraft propulsion systems. In thesis I target to social-political, econo]mical and technical aspects of this kind of propulsion which have positive or negative tendency in next evolution of electric propulsion. With my mentor we assume that the main problem will be with energy density of Lithium batteries which is sixty time lower than density of comertional jet fuels. This problem we present in examples of three airplanes with different capacity and range. At the end of the thesis we presented the most interesting existing project of electrically-propelled aircraft and analyzethe main advantages of electric propulsion.Item HISTÓRIA A VÝVOJ PREHĽADOVÝCH SYSTÉMOV PRE ÚČELY RIADENIA LETOVEJ PREVÁDZKY(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Juríková, Terézia; Thomas, JakubThe paper is focused on the issue of surveillance systems for air traffic control purposes. The main goal of the work was to process knowledge about the history of surveillance systems and how these systems have evolved over time. For the elaboration of this work, we used professional books, articles and methodologies of various organizations and companies that deal with this topic. Figures and tables have also been used to illustrate the subject more easily. In the first chapter we discuss the history of radiolocation, passive surveillance systems that were used before and after World War II. The first chapter also describes the development of more modern technologies such as ADS-B and multilateration, which have been fully used in the last few years, but their development began much earlier. The second chapter discusses two types of surveillance radars, primary and secondary and their special types. We focused on the description of mainly those specific types that are used at Slovak airports. In the third chapter, we take a closer look at the current development of surveillance systems. We have included in this development the monitoring of air traffic using cameras from remote towers, the combination of surveillance systems into a unit called ARTAS for the purposes of air traffic management and the surveillance of today´s very popular unmanned aerial vehicles.Item HYBRIDNÉ POHONY LIETADIEL(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Dančová, Dominika; Janovec, MichalThe aim of this paper is to evaluate the propulsion of aircraft from the present to the future development of the aviation industry. The paper describes the negative effects on the environment, new possible solutions for drives, as well as design modifications of engines. The first chapter is focused on the current propulsion of aircraft and their basic division. Described piston and jet engines. The second and third chapters describe the propulsion of hybrid and electric aircraft. They have great potential for reducing fuel consumption in aviation, as fuel prices are constantly rising. Hybrid electric propulsion systems not only provide fuel economy benefits, but also reduce take-off noise and emissions. The final chapter is focused on the results of research into the development of hybrid and electric drives, evaluated possible assumptions of success of individual parts.Item IMPLEMENTÁCIA MODERNÝCH TECHNOLÓGIÍ DO VÝCVIKU PRÍSTROJOVÉHO LIETANIA(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Královenský, Marek; Jůn, FrantišekThis paper deals with modern technologies available in transport aircraft, of which the implementation in instrument flight training would contribute to improving the quality and safety of training provided. The work in the first part analyzes the current state of the problem. Subsequently, the second part of the work describes the basic theory of the principle of operation of the modern systems and provides possible examples of the use of available equipment in instrument flight training. The last part of the work evaluates the contribution to increasing safety and quality of training. The aim of the work is to provide novice pilots with basic information about available inertial systems used in transport aircraft, as there is still a lack of available literature in the Slovak language dealing with these devices.Item KOMPARÁCIA MODELOV SPOPLATNENIA LETECKÝCH NAVIGAČNÝCH SLUŽIEB VO VYBRANÝCH KRAJINÁCH(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Dendisová, Mariana; Tomová, AnnaThis paper describes basic principles of Air Navigation Service Charging. It follows ICAO’s recommendations on the subject and also describes charging system applied to Single European Sky, which is then compared to the charging system in four selected countries, which are not members of the European Union. Selected counties are United Arab Emirates, Nepal, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Two comparative hypothetical flights are developed for each country in order to approximate the methods of calculating individual charges for given flights.Item LETECKÁ NÁKLADNÁ DOPRAVA V SR(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Štefanec, Filip; Badánik, BenediktThis paper describes the development of air freight transport in the current Slovak Republic (historically part of the first Czechoslovakia and later Czechoslovak Socialist Republic) and in the world. The theoretical part of the thesis analyzes the rates used in air freight transportation and the markets and commodities transported by air most frequently. The thesis aims to identify the types of commodities transported, their volumes and values. The characteristics of commodities are described in Chapters 2 and 4. The work compares the values, weights and volume of transported air cargo commodities between the Slovak Republic and countries with similar GDP per capita and compares the volume of transported goods at M. R. Štefánik Airport in Bratislava with surrounding competing airports abroad. Finally, it analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the geographical location of the Slovak Republic in relation to the transport flows of air goods within Europe.Item MODELY PODNIKANIA LETECKÝCH SPOLOČNOSTÍ V AFRIKE(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Kožušník, Jozef; Tomová, AnnaThis paper deals with the research of business models used by African airlines. The aim of this work is to approach the level and condition of air transport in Africa and examine the business models used by airlines, analyse the attributes of their business model, compare them and evaluate the most used business model. This thesis confirmed the presence of traditional, low-cost and regional business models of airlines, as well as hybridization of business models in Africa. Despite demonstrating a level of liberalization, bachelor thesis documents that the market of air transport services is still largely regulated and faces problems such as low demand and the inability to compete with large airlines from other continents.Item MOŽNOSTI ZNIŽOVANIA ŠKODLIVÝCH EMISIÍ V LETECKEJ DOPRAVE(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Szarowski, Alec; Čerňan, JozefThis paper discusses the impact of air traffic on environment. The combustion of fuels causes creation of huge amount of harmful substances that are released to the upper atmosphere, where they influence the atmospheric reactions. Apart from fuels combustion, the conditions necessary for realization of air traffic, or the situations resulting from it, such as aircraft maintenance, noise, emergencies, etc., have negative impact on not only environment, but also health and comfort of people as well as flora and fauna, exposed to these conditions. Besides air traffic impacts on environment mentioned here above, this paper also describes the possibilities of their reduction and companies dealing with them.Item MOŽNOSTI ZVYŠOVANIA VÝKONU LETECKÝCH PIESTOVÝCH MOTOROV A ICH VÝVOJ(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Goldschmidt, Jakub; Čerňan, JozefThe purpose of this paper is to refer to possibilities of increasing the power of the aircraft piston engine. In the first part of this thesis I analyze and point out, what in general aircraft piston engine is, what parts the engine is consisted of, and what types of piston engine we know. Further, it is focused on the types of these engines as well as the differences between them. At the core of this thesis I describe the possibilities for increasing the short-term power, or long-term power of the engines, their history and also their advantages and disadvantages.Item NÁVRH IMPLEMENTÁCIE SENZOROV SYSTÉMU ARDUINO V MODELI DEMONŠTRAČNÉHO VETERNÉHO TUNELA(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Rilko, Dávid; Pecho, PavolThe intention of the paper is to acquaint the reader with the basics of aerodynamics and to clarify the theory of wind tunnels, their division, construction, functionality and today´s use. The work also documents the construction proces of a wind tunnel, which took place on Žilina Airport with cooperation with employees of the Department of Air Transport and its students. The work captures the process of tunnel design until its completion. The main point is the design of the wind tunnel measuring system. The work thoroughly explains the procedure for designing, connecting, programming and calibrating measuring elements and creating an overall system for measuring data for a closer understanding of aerodynamic events. The conclusion of the work is a comparison of the measuring system used in construction and the systems used in world research centres from a technical as well as an economical point of view.Item NÁVRH MATERIÁLNEJ ČASTI LETÚNA PIPER PA-34 220T(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Chebeň, Juraj; Škultéty, FilipThe aim of the paper is to create a comprehensive teaching material that will help students of the study program Professional Pilot of the University of Žilina to complete practical flight training on multi-engine aircraft in the Air Training and Education Centre (LVVC). The first part is devoted to a general description of the Piper PA-34 Piper PA-34-220T aircraft, including a brief history, an overview of versions and technical & operational parameters with a focus on the versions of Seneca III and Seneca V, which LVVC currently operates. The second part is focused on a detailed description of individual systems and systems with regard to design solutions of the type. The last, third part describes the standard instrumentation of the PA-34 and subsequently the equipment of specific aircraft operated by LVVC. The work is supplemented by appendices that contain performance graphs, checklists, and mass and balance diagrams.Item NÁVRH MATERIÁLNEJ ČASTI V SÚLADE S LETOVOU PRÍRUČKOU A MANUÁLOM NA ÚDRŽBU LIETADIEL Z-242L(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Pancurák, Daniel; Braciník, TomášDue to modernization of aircraft fleet of Letecko vzdelávacie centrum with new planes Zlín Z-242L manufactured by Zlín Aircraft it was necessary to create new study materials for students which will be in practical flight training. These materials are necessary for theoretical preparation before student’s first flight on this type of aircraft. Since original materials supplied by manufacturer are extensive and contain information mainly for technicians and maintenance, it was necessary to create new materials, which would contain information which are most important for pilot. These materials contain most important information about structure of aircraft, systems, performance, and equipment with which is aircraft equipped. This aircraft is modernized version of its predecessor Zlín Z-142. This modernization was necessary due to new regulations and implementations in flight training and due to age of older aircrafts.Item NOVÉ FORMY HORIZONTÁLNEJ SPOLUPRÁCE LETECKÝCH SPOLOČNOSTÍ(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Turčan, Dávid; Novák Sedláčková, AlenaThe aim of the paper is to introduce the information about forms of horizontal cooperation between companies in the aviation sector. The introduction describes a brief history of the aviation industry, its position in the market and briefly sums up the content of the work. The first part characterizes individual forms of horizontal cooperation. The second part describes new forms of business strategies of airlines and their cooperation in the market. This part also deals with the specific use of various forms of business in practice. In the third part new forms of cooperation between long-haul low-cost carriers are described as well as its connection with the establishment of the first low-cost air alliances and their brief characteristics. The work also describes the development of these alliances and their possible growth in the future. Special emphasis is placed on the analysis of low-cost air carriers in Europe, their possible cooperation and building their own alliances in the future.Item POHONNÉ JEDNOTKY AKROBATICKÝCH LIETADIEL(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Dvoran, Filip; Čerňan, JozefThis paper aims to familiarize the reader with modifications of the engine parts of a light-sport aircraft necessary for aerial acrobatics. Modifications relating to the performance, operational capability, and resistance to the negative effects of the gravitational acceleration of acrobatic maneuvers to which the aircraft is subjected. First of all, the necessity of modification for the aircraft and its principle of operation is explained in the individual chapters. The secondary objective of the work is to introduce the design possibilities offered by manufacturing companies operating on the market, with the intention of the best product selection in the construction of acrobatic aircraft, with special requirements. The intention is to point out the factors that have to be taken into account when selecting products with their subsequent comparison in terms of technology used by the company for the best performance of the aircraft. The last chapter deals with the issue of aviation electrification, its use in aerobatic sports, and the advantages that the electric motor brings.Item POROVNANIE MOŽNOSTÍ VYUŽITIA VYBRANÝCH AWOS SYSTÉMOV A ICH MANUÁLOV(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Krajčo, Tomáš; Jarošová, MiriamThe goal of this paper is to create a recommendation, which will contain information about which AWOS system is more appropriate to use based on a comparison of individual sensors and subsystems used in selected AWOS systems. The comparison, which results in a recommendation, will focus on technical parameters, limitations to monitor meteorological phenomena and the comprehensibility and complexity of data sheets and manuals, while the resulting recommendation also takes into account the recommendations of individual sensors and subsystems. Due to the complexity of the thesis, it was necessary to set additional objectives, the purpose of which was to provide information about aeronautical meteorology and meteorology as such, basic terms of meteorology, measurements performed by AWOS systems along with basic information about these systems.Item POROVNANIE VÝCVIKOVÝCH OSNOV PILOTOV V ČESKOSLOVENSKU Z OBDOBIA I. SVETOVEJ VOJNY A II. SVETOVEJ VOJNY(Žilinská univerzita v Žiline, 2020) Beťková, Kristína; Kazda, AntonínThis paper covers the topic of the training curricula of pilots from the beginning of World War I till the end of World War II in Czechoslovakia. The purpose of this thesis was to focus on the process of the development of the training and factors, that affect this development. Since the author is in pilot training too, she considered it to be interesting enough to find out what was the development of the training and further process of adaptation, that she could later compare to the training she is a part of. The author obtained information mostly from description of historical events, that were substantiated by facts of evolution of aircraft. In the beginning, the thesis covers pilot training in the nowadays society and by obtaining additional information using the historical procedure, in individual chapters the author analyzes the functionality of training centers during particular periods, the characteristics of aircraft technology, the requirements imposed on pilots, the training itself and its development. Ultimately, the author concludes that the aircraft technology and the demands placed upon pilots during their career are the predominant causes of changes in training and, on the other hand, finds that the political situation, which used to affect the training during World War I and II greatly, is nowadays pushed to the background.
