Item Analýza vplyvu spätného tlaku výfukového systému na spotrebu paliva v dvojdobých motoroch(University of Žilina, 2025) Stojčev, Filip; Lubják, PeterTwo-stroke engines have been known for a long time. Despite strong competition from four-stroke and electric engines, they continue to remain relevant. Their major advantage lies in their simple construction and favorable weight-to-power ratio. However, they suffer significantly in the area of combustion, where part of the fresh mixture escapes into the exhaust system. Therefore, it is important to study the phenomenon known as backpressure. By optimizing the backpressure of the exhaust system, higher combustion efficiency should be achieved. Since the need to improve combustion efficiency is a major concern from both economic and environmental perspectives, exhaust system optimization is essential. The aim is to determine, through the proposed testing on the P63 engine from a Trabant vehicle and the DLA 63 RC model engine, whether a well-designed exhaust system can help reduce these issues. The results demonstrate that a properly designed expansion chamber or correctly applied exhaust throttling can contribute to reducing fuel consumption and increasing combustion efficiency. At the same time, it is evident that an improperly designed exhaust system can worsen the addressed issues. The conclusions drawn from these experiments can serve in the future as a basis for improving combustion efficiency in practical applications of two-stroke engines.Item Návrh a realizácia elektronického riadenia motora P66/5B(University of Žilina, 2025) Koša, Dávid; Čerňan, JozefThe aim of the professional article is to familiarize the reader with the issue of optimizing electronic control for the P66/5B engine. The article consists of several parts in which the theory of two-stroke piston internal combustion engines, the principle of battery and electric ignition, the principle of carburetion and direct and indirect injection are specified in more detail. The article itself also contains a short description of the P66/5B engine. Within the practical part, the article describes the procedure for implementing the P66/5B engine, the course of the testing itself and the results obtained.Item Návrh a realizácia trojvalcového spaľovacieho motora v usporiadaní do hviezdy(University of Žilina, 2024) Lubják, Peter; Čerňan, JozefThis article looks at different combustion engine topologies and concentrates on designing and building a two-stroke radial engine prototype for use in aircraft. With an emphasis on these engines' application in the aviation sector, the goal is to offer a thorough understanding of the mechanical factors that influence these engines' efficiency and performance. The articles theoretical section discusses the fundamental ideas behind combustion engines and the benefits and drawbacks of various designs. It also emphasizes the Trabant automobile engine, which has been utilized in aircraft; the prototype motor was built using parts from this engine. The design of the building, the use of contemporary simulation tools for design optimization, and the prototype's production processes are all covered in the practical section. The best way to manufacture anything with a CNC milling machine that is readily available is also covered.Item Design and implementation of the aerobatic fuel system of the M60 engine(University of Žilina, 2022) Horák, Tomáš; Čerňan, JozefThe paper deals with the specific modification of the M60 two-stroke engine so that the engine can be used in aerobatic conditions. In the introduction of the paper, the basic theory concerning piston two-stroke engines, the principle of operation of this engine, and the analysis of individual fuel systems is first discussed, with a focus on fuel injection systems and their components. Furthermore, the preparation of the fuel mixture is characterized together with the factors affecting it and also the basic characteristics of the engine control unit. In this way, the reader will gain the knowledge necessary for a better understanding of the following chapters. The motivation is to find a way to modify the non-aerobatic engine for the needs of aerobatic flight, and this modification includes a number of important advantages over the original fuel system design mentioned in the paper. At the core of the paper, we discuss the design of the fuel system, including important modifications, and also the practical implementation of this fuel system on the engine mentioned above. At the end of the paper, we evaluate the results of the work achieved by changing and modifying the fuel system on the M60 engine, including the achievement of the set objectives.Item Innovation options for selected systems of M60 engine: exhaust system and engine cooling(University of Zilina, 2022) Lapínová, Branislava; Čerňan, JozefOur article deals with the design and construction of a resonant exhaust system and cooling system for the M60 engine. In introductory part, the article provides the reader with a final overview of two-stroke. In the next chapter, the focus is only on the resonant exhaust system. The article of the reader informs about the basic principles of resonant exhaust systems and points out their fundamental effect on power, torque and fuel consumption. Subsequently, the article gets to the calculation of the resonant exhaust system and its execution. The final chapter deals with the cooling system and solves the design optimization of the shape of deflectors. Both in the previous chapter and in this chapter, it first deals with theoretical knowledge, design and subseguent production of deflectors.
