Item Creation of a Z 43 aeroplane model for a flight simulator(University of Žilina, 2023) Poláček, Jozef; Škultéty, FilipThis paper describes the process of developing a Zlin Z 43 aircraft for a flight simulator. Work on an aircraft simulation consists of multiple parts. The development of the flight model is the first and core part of the simulation. Work on this part consisted of an analysis of the X-Plane blade element theory-based flight model, sourcing of the data this model requires, flight testing and further editing of the data to match the known performance of the Zlín Z43. The aircraft systems are another core part of the simulation. A Mix of the simulator's default, customised and fully custom systems are used. The theory and process of creating, animating, and texturing a 3D model are described, too. Visual quality can also be important, especially for its use in virtual reality. The last part is about the user interface, user experience and how the various use cases shape their design for an aircraft simulation.Item Požiadavky na harmonizáciu údržby ultraľahkých lietadiel(University of Zilina, 2022) Škultéty, Filip; Čerňan, Jozef; Janovec, Michal; Chodelka, FrederikThe exact definition of an Ultralight Aircraft is still very diverse, especially in the European region. Internationally, there are various Ultralight Aircraft (UL) classes with nationally varying certification regulations. Accordingly, Ultralight Aircraft is used colloquially ore or less comprehensively for Very Light Aircraft or Light-Sport Aircraft. However, they are subject to much stricter certification nd maintenance regulations. This paper aims to compare the current legal situation in the European Union countries, extract the best practices, and propose how a new “AMC & GM” should define the laws and regulations to create the best possible vironment for UL airworthiness. This paper is written based on information and directions published on the websites of the esponsible uthorities of the respective countries, as well as communication with these authorities and first-hand knowledge obtained by conducting numerous interviews with people in the field of UL maintenance. The results indicate how different each country egulates the maintenance and continuing airworthiness of ULs and how important a harmonised regulation would be. It is specially important to have clarity as with larger aircraft and thus also to prevent numerous accidents and hazardous situations in the future.Item Rozbor bezpečnosti letov UAV a konspekt aktuálnych legislatívnych požiadaviek(University of Žilina, 2021) Škultéty, Filip; Kandera, Branislav; Janovec, MichalDespite the recent legislation, which has been formed in the last five years to its current form, the safety for the UAV operation is borne by the pilot, as he/she is the one who is responsible for the direction of UAV movement thus for any collision. For this reason, it is necessary to increase the safety of UAV operations outside the duties and competencies of the pilot at a distance, for example, through anti-collision systems and air traffic management systems. This article was initially focused on analysing aviation events in Slovakia associated with the operation of the UAV. Another factor that significantly affects the operation of UAVs to a large extent is the legislation itself. A special part was devoted to the legislation in terms of airspace determination, procedures and rules of operation of the UAV. From a legislative point of view, it is currently an important aspect to define the correct and reasonable level between the restrictions in order to increase the safety of operation only on an indispensable scale, not to be very restrictive to operators.Item New regulations for UAS flights(University of Zilina, 2020) Kandera, Branislav; Škultéty, Filip; Badánik, BenediktThe paper deals with the legislation in the field of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in the Slovak Republic. The main goal of the paper is to analyse the current legislative framework, which sets the basic rules and restrictions. The article’s contribution is a description of the latest Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947. The solution to the issue consists of an analysis of the requirements for changes in current legislation based on people’s experience from practice. The reason for the changes is to facilitate flying with UAS for all user groups, provided that safety is maintained, and risks are minimised. These new regulations are causing the most significant changes, especially for organisations that will perform aerial work with the UAS in the Specific category. These organisations need to transform their operations manuals and extend the aerial work system with a risk analysis.Item Non Directional Beacons Checking(University of Zilina, 2014) Pitor, Ján; Škultéty, Filip; Götz, KarolThis paper aims to familiarize experts from other fields with issues of flight check of Non Directional Beacon (NDB) and its assessment. The AT-940 Automatic Flight Inspection System and the aircraft PIPER SENECA are described followed by flight check specifications and procedures. Evaluated were the coverage of NDB Z, NDB ZLA located at Žilina airport and Standard Instrument Approach Procedure for runway 06. The results of evaluation are in paragraph 4. The paper is based on project “Centre of excellence for Air Transport” focused on the impact of air transport on environment photogrammetry, surveillance of electromagnetic compatibility of radio navigation aids and radio communication equipment.Item INTEGRATION OF UTM WITHIN THE CURRENT AIRSPACE ARCHITECTURE. IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE?(University of Zilina, 2019) Škultéty, Filip; Poljak, JozefThis paper comprehensively describes the various issues of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in terms of their integration into a contemporary and complex system such as Air Traffic Management (ATM). In its introductory part, the paper systematizes and outlines the theoretical knowledge of UAS and categories of airspace sharing entities. However, the main part is devoted to the analysis carried out on the observation of latest proposals of Unmanned Aircraft Systems Traffic Management (UTM), new flight rules as well as state-of-the-art research in several countries throughout the world. The objective of this task is to assess the possibilities, obstacles, and approaches to the integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into the current airspace. The content of this paper is not only informative in nature it but offers concrete explanations, and it may be used as a part of preliminary study for further research in this area.Item AEROjournal - celé číslo 2/2019(University of Zilina, 2019) Kováčik, Ľubomír; Novák, Andrej; Lusiak, Tomasz; Škultéty, Filip; Poljak, Jozef; Yun, Gennadiy; Pederiy, Yuri; Gnashuk, Andrei; Bartoš, Miroslav; Badánik, Benedikt; Jarošová, Miriam; Kazda, Antonín; Bugaj, Martin; Materna, MatúšItem AEROjournal - celé číslo 1/2019(University of Zilina, 2019) Novák, Andrej; Lusiak, Tomasz; Kováčik, Ľubomír; Škultéty, Filip; Čerňan, Jozef; Rostáš, Ján; Bugaj, Martin; Pecho, Pavol; Lusiak, Tomasz; Janovec, Michal; Urminský, Tomáš; Škvareková, Iveta; Kandera, Branislav; Ažaltovič, Viliam
