Item Aktuálne trendy v oblasti drogovej kriminality(University of Žilina, 2024) Šoltés, Viktor; Kysela, FilipDrug crime is a specific type of crime that primarily threatens the life and health of an individual who uses drugs. However, it also has a secondary impact on society, in that drug addicts suffer from health problems, the treatment of which is covered by public health funds. At the same time, the sale of illegal drugs is among the most profitable illegal businesses in the world. New types of drugs are increasingly appearing on the market. Largely young people who are not aware of the health risks and the impact on the rest of their lives resulting from the use of these drugs also become users. The aim of the contribution is to analyse drug crime committed in Slovakia with an emphasis on juveniles and to describe the negative effects of selected drugs, the users of which are mainly these persons. The results of the contribution will bring an innovative view of current forms and trends in the field of drug crime, which will be useful in the implementation of drug crime prevention.Item Účinnosť preventívnych aktivít realizovaných u vybraných skupín obyvateľstva(University of Žilina, 2024) Uhrínová, PatríciaThe article is dedicated to measuring the effectiveness of preventive activities among a selected group of the population, namely among children and youth aged 13 to 18 in primary and secondary schools and other educational facilities. Determining the effectiveness of preventive activities was carried out using a questionnaire survey, which was distributed among survey subjects before and after the end of the preventive activity. Based on the collected data, the effectiveness of preventive activities was evaluated, taking into account the individual's answers.Item Analýza výsledkov aplikácie koncepcie CPTED v zahraničí(University of Zilina, 2022) Kubalová, KlaudiaThe process of designing security into architecture is known as "Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design." It includes a design built environment to reduce opportunities and fear of crime. Crime prevention through environmental design can help with reducing the chances of committing crimes and also can provide guidance to property owners on how to protect their property. There is not enough information about the concept in the territory of the Slovak Republic, so the objective of this article is to point out its effectiveness. The effectiveness of the CPTED concept will be demonstrated through an analysis of implemented projects abroad, which have confirmed that the concept is an effective, successful and feasible multidisciplinary prevention strategy.
